We made these caramel apples the other day. We weren't really impressed with the "Caramel" part...(We need to try a different recipe for that part) but we LOVED the white chocolate, chocolate, and chopped pecans! =) It's hard to make the REAL caramel here...for we don't have a candy thermometer. But, we've found another recipe that we'll try later, that doesn't call for the use of one of those...or we'll see if we can find the caramel candies to melt and cover the apples...THEN DO THE YUMMY CHOCOLATE PART! I won't post the recipe, for y'all can buy the easy caramel covering for your apples, or probably have a better CARAMEL recipe...BUT I WOULD RECOMMEND YOU DRIZZLING YOUR APPLES WITH CHOC./WHITE CHOC. AND NUTS...Those things make them sooo yummy! =)
~This is what my brother looked like after he got done licking the leftovers out of the choc. ziplock bag that we used to decorate the apples. He said that he had a beard like Daddy!~

Heather, I am SO sorry that you're having back trouble. Is this a recurring problem that you know how to deal with? Hope it's nothing serious. Back pain is NO fun at all. Been there, done there. We will be praying for you.

Dearest Heather,
So sorry about your back pain. I LIVE there and know it's NOT FUN and can make one feel VERY clostrophobic (or however you spell that word :)) I'm praying for you. The TLC team left us some carmel candies and your idea looks like something I should let our kids try this week. I love you dear sister, keep encouraged, praying for you and your family this Lord's day with the set-backs that this will cause you all. Love, Laura in Romania
Sarah...great post! Noah's beard is the best kind :-)
My kids would love the candy apples... gotta try that. Heather.. glad your back is better (since I just read on your latest post that it is better). And thanks for all your kind comments on my blog. Hugs back to you!
Great job Sarah, they look very good. Zak and Sidney want to come over to your house and try one.
Sarah (Ruh Ruh), you have a smile as nice as Noah's-only yours doesn't have chocolate around it! Love, Grandma & Grandpa D
