~Chris and Kimberly GOT ENGAGED!....Father's Day, & Our Mission Deputation Out West!~

Life as usual at our house has been keeping us hopping.  :-)

On May 24th, Chris Kline asked our Kimberly

to MARRY HIM!!!!

Here is the "quick version" of

~THEIR LOVE STORY~

that God wrote!

In September of 2019 our mutual friend Regina had Chris and our family over to her house to have some fun around a bond fire.

The very next day, Kimberly told her Daddy,

"Daddy, If Chris Kline asked about getting to know me,

the answer is YES!"

But, Chris went back to North Carolina and we did not hear anything more from him until we went for a missionary service at his church the following May.  We had so much fun being with the Kline family, so much so that they invited us to stay another day and we celebrated Memorial Day with them.

But then we went back home and nothing more was heard from Chris.

All this time Kimberly was secretly head over heels with Chris.  :-)

She would find pics of him on Social Media and keep them in her,

"Recently Deleted photos" album on her phone

(SO NO ONE WOULD SEE THEM)

...and every 29 days she would have to RENEW them, because her phone would automatically delete the pictures in her recently deleted album.  :-)

As Mommy, I had lots of talks with Jesus about Chris and Kimberly.

I told Jesus that I had heard lots of good things about Chris Kline, but that if he was not the ONE THAT JESUS HAD CHOSEN FOR OUR KIMBERLY, then I did not want them to get together....

BUT, IF CHRIS WAS THE RIGHT ONE,

THEN WOULD JESUS PLEASE "LIGHT A FIRE"

SO THAT CHRIS AND KIMBERLY COULD GET TOGETHER! :-)

WE SECRETLY PRAYED ABOUT CHRIS KLINE

FOR 15 MONTHS!!!

In fact, Earl Newton, before he went to Heaven said these words,

"JUST MAKE SURE YOUR DAUGHTER GETS WITH CHRIS KLINE FOR ME!"

As you know, In December, 2020, God called Kimberly to teach in the school there in Salisbury, NC.   It was not the Klines that invited her down to teach, nor was it our family that mentioned she could help...God used 2 other ladies to mention Kimberly's name to teach at the school.  :-)

Our family KNEW that God was working to answer our prayers and get Chris and Kimberly together.

Little did we know that Chris had been praying something like,

"Lord, I don't feel comfortable getting to know someone long distance over the phone.

So, if you want Kimberly and I together, would you please send her down here to NC, so I can get to know her. :-) "

THIS SEPTEMBER IT WILL BE 3 YEARS,

SINCE THEY FIRST

MET AND STARTED PRAYING ABOUT EACH OTHER!!

~CHRIS & KIMBERLY GET ENGAGED!!~

Soon after we got home from our Recent Mission Deputation in May, Chris had come here and tried to surprise Kimberly.

Kimberly is like her mother, and is hard to surprise, so she guessed he was coming. :-)

The next weekend, Kimberly tried to surprise Chris...and succeeded!

Since Kimberly was so observant and figures out surprises easily, Chris knew that Kimberly would be suspicious that he was going to propose to her if he tried to do anything like take her out to eat, or take her to Pilot Mountain.

So, he played the engagement setting low key.

His mother Karen loves to rearrange her house, clean, etc.  So, Kimberly never thought anything about it when she came to their house one evening and Mrs. Karen was rearranging their back porch.  The family took turns sitting out on the back porch during the evening, then they all pretended to "go to bed."

Now, it was Chris and Kimberly's turn to sit on the back porch and sip their tea. (Chris and Kimberly enjoy sitting out on the back porch.)

Kimberly was still not suspicious until he started playing his guitar and singing her a song about, "Will you Marry Me?"

He did such a beautiful job playing and singing to her.

After he finished his song, he got down on one knee and asked her to Marry him IN SPANISH!!!

He knew his Kimberly WELL!!!

Kimberly Loves the Spanish language.

Of course, her answer was YES!!!

Then they ran in to tell his family their good news!  And then call our family.

We could not be happier with who God has sent to Marry our Kimberly!!!

And So, we are very BUSY with wonderful wedding plans, and their wedding will be here before we know it!! <3

~Here are a couple pics of the back porch where Chris asked Kimberly to marry Him.~

~Since Kimberly is engaged, I get to use my "Mother of the Bride"
cup to coffee in again!~

We were trying to HURRY to beat a HUGE BLIZZARD that was coming in!!!~
~Honey,....Jesus had to help us on that trip to Montana!!!!!
When we would go over Mountain passes the snow would blow so hard that we could hardly see where we were going!!
Like this PICTURE BELOW was the "Welcome to Montana" sign...!  It was just a BLUR!!!
We PRAYED LOTS that trip and were VERY GRATEFUL TO JESUS when we arrived in a lower elevation town in Montana, and we were FINALLY SAFE from the storm. Thank you, Dear Jesus!~

Thank you for visiting my blog and traveling along with us as we went on our 3 week deputation out West.  I loved getting to have this visit with you.

Prayers appreciated for our people on the fields.  Sometime before or after the wedding Phillip is praying about God's timing on taking a trip to Colombia.
