~Thank you, Dear Jesus, For your PROTECTION!~

But First...
Please Pray for our family tomorrow and Thursday as we will be having GG's funeral.
:-( Due to the virus our children will not get to go, and only a few of us adults will get to attend the funeral.
This makes it hard and sad,
for we would all love to be together.
Thank you!!
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
~The Tree BEFORE...
~Recently our Elijah, Mary, and Abigail were swinging on the little tree swing
that Phillip had hung for them.
(Swing pictured behind the coffee cup.)
All of the sudden Mary heard a
C-R-A-C-K.
She jumped to her feet and told the others to get
AWAY FROM THE TREE,
that she had heard a crack.
She came in and told me.
I went out and looked at the tree from a distance,
but didn't see anything.
They had thought of going back outside to play,
but instead they decided to STAY INSIDE!

LESS THAN 15 MINS. LATER, THE PART OF THE TREE WHERE THE SWING WAS,
WAS ON THE GROUND!!!!
THANK YOU, DEAR JESUS, FOR PROTECTING OUR CHILDREN!!
~The Tree AFTER~
~We are trying to get ready to go and Phillip hadn't had a chance to cut the tree up yet.
We just went outside and one of our dear neighbors
had cut it up for us! Jesus,
Please Bless Him Bunches! :-) ~

~May All who come behind us....FIND US FAITHFUL!!~

~May Phillip and I be Faithful to Jesus...
for our Children,
Grandchildren (some day),
Great grandchildren,
and others!~

OUR CLOUD OF WITNESSES....
WHO ARE ROOTING FOR US TO MAKE HEAVEN....
JUST GOT A LITTLE BIGGER!!!
~My Sweet Grandmother is in Heaven~
My heart is breaking and I wept harder yesterday
than I ever have.
My sweet GG Went to be with Jesus!!!! πŸ˜’
(March 28th, 2020)

She was full of spunk,
ornery as can be,
loved Jesus with her whole heart,
full of life and so fun to be around,
made us all laugh,
loved to entertain company with her
beautiful Southern Hospitality,
and pretty much where I came. :-)
I loved her sooooo much and am going to
MISS HER sooo badly!!!!
But She's not sick anymore, and she's running around Heaven holding Pop Pop's hand and worshiping Jesus!
So I wouldn't bring her back for anything.
But I'm going miss her more than words can express!!!

My Grandmother has always been one of my FAVORITE people!!! She was hilarious, ornery, sweet, giving, Loved Jesus, was a great cook, Loved to Clean like no one's business, loved to be outside, had a green thumb and was great with plants, she was excellent at doing laundry and could get out any stain....
and was the Best Grandmother in the whole wide world!!
Her Mac and Cheese and Soppy Chocolate and biscuits

were my favorite!!🍴

One day, when I was little, I said something grammatically incorrect and my Moma said,
"Heather, you need to use proper GRAMMAR."
I laughed and said,
"Whoever heard tell of a Proper GRANDMOTHER!" πŸ€£

When Grandmother was in her 50's she went sledding with some of the students from our school in Friendsville, TN. Her sled went under a parked car and Grandmother hurt her back!! I was 3 and came to visit her the next day. (I'm quite sure that the drawer in her dinning room that contained candy was the main source of my desire to call on this patient!) πŸ˜ƒ πŸ
I went in to see Grandmother and told her that she was

too OLD to go sledding!!
To which she replied, "I AM NOT OLD!!"
Then I said,
"If you aren't old, what are you doing with those CRACKS in your face?" πŸ˜ƒ

🀣
Sweet Grandmother, THANK YOU for loving and serving Jesus all of these years!!

GG, Thank you for taking God's careful way, and for raising Moma, Uncle Carson,
and Aunt W Carole Scarbrough Roush to love Jesus.
You have given us A Heritage of Holiness for which we will always be grateful!!!!
You and Granddaddy were such neat examples of those who Love Jesus and HELP others!!!
Thank you for being willing to mortgage your Brick Ranch Home to help buy the Friendsville campus so Daddy (Edgar A Bryan) and all of y'all could start Christ College and Academy!
You and Granddaddy touched untold number of lives for Jesus through your sacrifice!!!!
I was so happy that my Kimberly Dickinson got to help care for you several times so she could really get to know the adorable lady who I have Loved for 46 years.
She treasures every minute she has had with you!!!! She recorded a lot of your neat love story that you told her and LOVED y'all's late night talks enjoying ice cream together!! πŸ’•
πŸ’πŸ’•πŸ’

Please hug our two babies for us and tell them that their family is going to live so that we can come to Heaven and see them one day! πŸ‘ΆπŸ»πŸ‘ΆπŸ»
I love you, GG, you were one of the dearest ladies I have ever known. I want to be just like you when I grow up!!! πŸ’•

ALL WHO HAVE COME BEHIND YOU
HAVE FOUND YOU FAITHFUL!!

YESTERDAY YOU HEARD THOSE
BEAUTIFUL WORDS,
"WELL DONE, THOU GOOD AND FAITHFUL SERVANT!!!" -GOD

~If MY PEOPLE, which are called by my Name, will HUMBLE themselves and PRAY....~

~Corona~
Who knew in 2020 we'd be facing the Corona!
In times like these one could feel Alone, Huh?
But we know ONE who knew about the virus,
And if we are serving HIM, He is for us!

Let's take this time to really search our heart,
To make sure God owns every single dingle part!!
Then let's humble ourselves and PRAY for our nation,
That many will turn to God during this devastation.

May God in Heaven use this to Revive
His Spirit in all of us and make us Alive.
Many are suffering and need our PRAYER
And also the medical team who are doing the care!

If we believe that ALL things really work for our good,
Then could we trust God right NOW? YES! We could!
For He's got us right in the palm of His Hand!
And He is working all of this out for His Plan!
       ~Heather C. B. Dickinson~

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
What have y'all been up to during this quarantine?
As a Homeschool family on a mini farm,
not much as changed, besides that we are trying to reach out even more to others and
PRAY more for:
Our President
Vice President
Governor
Our Pastors and families
Our Church family
Our people in Colombia and Argentina
Those suffering from Corona
Our Medical Team
That God would use this to SAVE SOULS
That God will FORGIVE OUR SIN and HEAL OUR LAND!

~Here's some pics of what has been going on in our lives.~
~Kimberly wrote this sweet note to our mail lady and put it inside our mailbox.~
~Homeschool goes on as usual.  BUT, on those pretty
Sunny days, a little bit of SPRING FEVER may be kicking in.  :-) ~
~Mary and I have been enjoying playing a duet on the piano.~

~Phillip has been spending extra time praying for and contacting our people on the field!!
And making videos in Spanish and English to touch lives for Jesus!!

~HEATHER'S HOMEMADE
WHITE BREAD RECIPE~
When I was a teenager, I had my own bread business in Louisiana.
This is the Yummy white bread recipe that I used.
Since we are trying not to go to the store (and we haven't for Days) we realized that we had run out of bread.
So Kimberly, Sarah, and I made this bread today!
Microwave for 2 mins:
YIELDS: Four (20 Oz.) Loaves
1 1/2 c. water
1/2 cup honey
1/2 cup oil
1 heaping Tab. salt
Add:
1 3/4 cup cool water
1 heaping Tab. yeast
2 eggs
10 + cups of flour
Place in greased bowl and let rise 45-60 mins.
Grease 4 large loaf pans.
Divide dough into 4 equal parts, knead each part and place in greased pans.
Let rise for 45 mins.
Bake at 350 for 22-26 mins.
(When you tap on the top of your loaf it should sound hollow.)
Brush the top of each loaf with butter.
ENJOY!!
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
~Kimberly was asked to make a Toilet Paper CAKE for a 16 year friend's birthday cake. :-)
She made 2 batches of a white cake from scratch, and the fondant was from scratch as well.
Looks so real!
~It may be hard to tell the details on here, but every 4" she perforated the "TP" for her cake, and added designs using a toothpick and a flower brad.
Kimberly did a phenomenal job!
She never ceases to amaze me! :-) ~
~Lots of family time and snugglin' going on around here...
Sarah and her Daddy!~
 ~Abigail "reading books!"~
She cannot wait to start school in the Fall!
~The kids music practice and some lessons continue as usual!
Little Mary having a Face time Violin lesson.
 ~S'mores....Using up left-overs found in our pantry.~
~The meals around here may be simple....
Beans and
Southern Cornbread (made by Kimberly)
But they are from the heart!~
~And to cheer my family's hearts I made
2 CHOCOLATE CHESS PIES.

~For quite some time, Elijah has been saving his money to buy baby chicks.  This week he got to order some baby chicks, and they were delivered to our house yesterday!
The little unopened box with the "PEEP PEEPS" coming from it nearly melted our hearts!~
~These baby chicks are so cute.
These chickens lay eggs that are "EASTER EGG COLORS!"
Once they start laying, Elijah plans to SELL THE EGGS to make some spending money.~
~A pretty table to make my family smile~

~Sunday night and Wednesday we listened to services online,
Sunday night was Beavertown,
Wednesday night was Rollin Mitchell's children service and then adult devotional.~
I love this encouraging Song....

God is Still *{VERY MUCH}* on His Throne!!!
And He will remember His own1
His promise is true, He will not forget you!
God is still on His Throne!

~This is the day the Lord hath made...~

PLEASE JOIN ME IN PRAYING FOR ALL THE MEDICAL PERSONNEL AND FIRST RESPONDERS THAT ARE WORKING TIRELESSLY TO HELP OTHERS DURING THIS TIME!!
AND THAT GOD WILL USE THIS TIME TO TURN LOTS OF PEOPLE TO HIMSELF!!!!!
(I might add that we MISS our lovely church family, our Dear Pastors and their wives and families, and the fellowship of worshiping Jesus together!
But we understand and agree with not meeting together right now.  The older people are more susceptible to problems with Corana, but our Elijah has had LOTS of breathing problems in his life and it could be bad news if he were to be exposed to this as well.
One pastor in Albany, GA, I believe it was, begged for prayer on Twitter.  He said that their hospitals are overwhelmed treating Corana patients, and their medical staff are exhausted.)
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
I Trust that you are having a wonderful Lord's day in Jesus today!!
We must worship Him on His day, and Keep His Day Holy!
In the midst of uncertainty, HE IS STILL THE SAME!!!
Today being the Lord's day, we had a worship service in our home...and there were 8 in attendance.
:-)
But, the Blessed Holy Spirit was super close
as we Sang hymns,
Read God's Word together,
Shared testimonies,
and even Gathered around and Prayed with one of our children who wanted to pray to be Sanctified!
Every one of our family had a part in our service.
Here's pics of our Sunday Preparation / Sunday Worship service and dinner pics!
~Saturday Preparations!~
~Yesterday 9 year old Mary asked if she could please make a cake.  I stood by to give advice while she made it and she did a great job!!  She's wearing her sweet little apron we got her in Argentina.~

~Chocolate cake, with chocolate chips inside, pudding in between the layers, and
mint chocolate icing on the sides and top.~
~OUR WORSHIP SERVICE IN OUR HOME THIS MORNING~
We all participated!
~Mary made our little programs for us~
Notice: "Preacher Rev. Daddy Dickinson" :-)
~Phillip opening our service by having us read Psalm 91 together and leading us in prayer!~
~Mary led us in our singing.  We sang 3 hymns...
~Kimberly played the piano for the first hymn...
Jesus breaks every Fetter~
~Noah holding Abigail and singing.  (They both testified later during our service.)~
~Sarah played the piano for the 2nd hymn....
O Worship the King
 ~Such good words!~
4. "Our MAKER, DEFENDER, REDEEMER, AND FRIEND!!"
 ~And I played for the 3rd hymn...~
Glorious Freedom
~Elijah gave us a short devotional on the Freedom we have in Christ.~
~Phillip preached from II Timothy 1:7 Paul talking to Timothy.
"God has not give us the spirit of FEAR, but of a sound mind!"
~SUNDAY DINNER~
 ~Chicken casserole~
~Homemade bread (along with a fresh salad) ~
~And we finished up with coffee and Mary's yummy chocolate cake~
~I asked that Phillip help us take a family photo after our service, so he set up his tripod and took this fun family pic.~
We plan to watch Beavertown's live stream church service tonight at 6:30.
Y'all stay safe and stay close to Jesus.

~For Wives & Mommies ONLY~

(If you are a Man and read this, please don't let me know, so I don't die of embarrassment.)

~For quite some time I have wanted to post my little sign...but am just now getting around to it...and what a fitting time since we are all STAYING HOME, LET'S LOVE OUR FAMILY!!~

I recently heard a link where Denny Kennaston shared these great thoughts on the wife and homemaker.
The Role of a Godly woman is a paradox. If you want to be great, serve.  Greatness comes as we live the life of a servant.
[ Have you ever thought of all the Heavenly Angels do,
and never get the credit. :-) ]
Joshua served Moses for 32 years and little is ever said about him.  He was called,
"Joshua, the servant of Moses."
When God created Eve and gave her to Adam he presented her as a Helper, Meet for him, or JUST EXACTLY WHAT HE WOULD NEED.
{My man will have different needs, strengths and weaknesses than your man, but God and Phillip hand picked ME to HELP my man. }
Prov. 31:10-12 talks about The heart of her husband doth safely trust in her.
Her life is all wrapped up in helping and serving her husband.
BEHIND EVERY GREAT MAN
THERE IS A GREAT WOMAN!

Her influence often exceeds the influence of her man who is in public.
                                                                                           -Denny Kennaston
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

I know when we are doing all the dirty laundry, dishes, making meals, and sweeping those floors for the ump-teenth time, we don't feel like we have a GREAT MINISTRY, but we do.

Just think, if the angels can serve all the time behind the scenes, we can too.

Here are some thoughts I wrote to a sweet Wife and Mommy that had asked me for some advice.
HereHello, this may seem like I'm rambling, and
πŸ˜ŠπŸ’•
I might be really straightforward at times in this, but please know it will be from my heart. πŸ’•
πŸ˜€
I am not preaching, just sharing my heart.
Loving my husband:
#1. Love him like you used to.
Not saying you don't, just a good reminder for us wives.
Remember how super excited you were to have him around when you were dating. How you always tried to look nice for him and smell pretty for him, and you couldn't wait to be together? I try to remind myself to stay that way toward him even after nearly 25 years of marriage. 😊

#2. Love him by Being his help meet. The devil loves for us to get so busy in life that sometimes it's easy to think, "let him pack his own lunch, or let him find his own wallet, etc." But then I remember that I married him because God said that
It is not good for a man to be alone and that he needed a help meet. And Philip chose me over every other lady in the world ...so I want to do the best job I can! πŸ’•

#3. Love him by praying for him and focusing on his good points!!! The things that made you fall in love with him!
Someone said it this way,
"Be to his virtues Very Kind,
Be to his faults a little blind!!"

#4. Love him by putting him first ...his rightful place.
The children are wonderful and a gift from God, but God gave our husbands to us first and we should keep them in the number one spot.
Here's where I'm going to talk pretty straight. πŸ˜€
I'm super convinced that the devil makes couples die (be very tempted) to do "The Wonderful" before they are married… When it is a sin,
and then works overtime to make the lady not want to do "The Wonderful" when that is God's beautiful design for marriage.
"But honey I'm tired",
"I've spent all day with the kids",
"I have a headache," etc. etc.
God designed "The Wonderful" to unite your spirits and make you one in your marriage. And the health benefits are out of this world. 😊
I believe God designed the man to physically need it so much, because if not we ladies would get so busy we'd never take time to do it. πŸ˜€
There's times my house isn't super clean, (my house is never perfect), I may feel like the laundry is running out my ears, etc. but when I take time to be with my Phillip he thinks I'm a #10 wife! (On a scale from 1-10, #10 being the Best! :-)
Just so you know, I don't always get it right! I'm constantly trying to pray that Jesus will help me to be a good wife, read books to better myself as a wife, send Phillip love notes or texts, and take time for him! When I do, all the other areas in my life line right up.

By the Way, My Sweetheart treats me so Special! He "carries me around on a Satin pillow," and treats me like a Queen.
~Heather~

~Sarah and I made homemade honey whole wheat bread last night.~
~It is a hearty yummy bread~
~Here is the recipe in case you want to make it.  It is from the Duggar family~
~Letting Abigail knead the bread~
(My thoughts to that sweet wife continued.)
Loving my children: πŸ‘ΆπŸ»
#1. Love your children by loving their Daddy! Try not to talk badly about your husband to them and let them see you loving each other (pats, kisses, hugs) and that will make them the most happy and content children ever. πŸ’•

#2. Love your children by spending time with them! You don't always have to go, go, go!
Recently I saw sign that said, "Let's stay home."
Play games together, make a recipe together, color together, read books, etc.

#3. Love your children by praying for them daily. The devil is stupid and does not care how he traps our children. Phillip and I fast one morning a week to pray for our children.
They are our "arrows" that we trust will shoot further than we have been able to go for God.

#4. Love your children by making sure that they obey.
Our children aren't perfect, but Phillip has made sure that we train them to obey us and God and that our word goes.
Sadly I have been around people that enjoy being around our children rather than their own grandchildren because their own grandchildren scream, never mind, and are unpleasant to be with. ~Heather~

Marriage doesn't take 2 people; it takes 3.
You cannot have a good marriage if God
is not in the Center of it!

~I went to delete a Taste of Home email the other day,
when this recipe caught me eye.
Since I had to make cookies for the girl's recital cookie reception the next day, I decided to make this recipe.  It's yummy!
Laura Bush's Cowboy Cookies.
~I Made some changes.  Instead of the 2 cups of coconut, I used 1/2 cup white chocolate chips, and an extra 1/2 cup of oatmeal.

~My Kimberly posted this pic after I gave her a cookie. :-) ~

A child is going to remember who was there,
not what you spent on them.
Kids outgrow a toy and outfits,
But they never outgrow time and love.

Live your life in such a way that there are those who will Thank God that you lived.

A flower does not think of competing with the flower next to it, it just blooms.

~The former owner of our house must have planted these, but they were a surprise to us when they came up.  Our sweet Mary and Abigail picked these for me. ~

She talked to God daily and that is
what made her lovely!!

~Our kids music lessons are by Face Time right now.
Elijah was the first one to have his lesson that way.~

In light of what is going on in our world right now,
Trust God,
Enjoy spending this time with your family by making fun recipes with the kids, playing games, sing together, reading stories, reading the Bible together and PRAYING for those who are affected by this and are fearful and do not know God.
My prayer is that they will come to KNOW JESUS through this!!
Let's keep praying for each other!!!

I made the universe out of nothing.
Trust me.
I can take care of you!
             ~GOD~

Worrying DOES NOT take away tomorrow's troubles,
it takes away Today's PEACE.

When my heart is overwhelmed:
lead me to the rock
that is higher than I.
