~And when we're up we're up....=)~

A note about last my post.  Phillip said that we can put locks on our suitcases or wrap them in plastic...but international flights make you take off the locks or take off the wrap or they do it for you. =(

~On Melanie's last full Friday with us we took her to do some sight seeing. =)  This is a place up on the Andes mountains that you ride a gandola up and have a great view of Bogota.  If you look closely in this picture (to your right) you can see 2 orange gandolas passing each other.~

~On the ride back down.~
~Kimberly and Melanie in the gandola.  When we got down the mountain we tried for ONE HOUR AND 15 MINUTES to get a taxi!!!   We finally got one and RUSHED to a church where we had been asked to sing that night.  We got there 35 minutes late (due to not being able to get a taxi and MAJOR traffic).  As we walked in...they announced that we were going to sing. =)  So, Melanie and our family took off our coats and went up and sang 3 specials. (Sorry I didn't get any pictures.)~

Melanie was a tremendous BLESSING to our church here and to our family.  We are praying that God will guide her future and hope to get to see her again as soon as possible.  We sent some small gifts with her for her and her family.  We had fun making and sharing some recipes with her.  We really miss her. =(

I remember taking that lovely trip up the mountain but was so glad when we got back safely. I wish that Melanie could be getting some rest after her full month but hardly think that possible as she jumped from one mission field to another. So glad to hear she arrived safe back to her family. Enjoyed seeing the lovely pictures of the handiwork of God in Colombia. Love, Moma
