~21st day...Fun Food Friday & 22nd Day of Christmas~~

Thank you for your prayers!!!   Phillip has been spending a lot of time running back and forth to the police station, due to them calling him.  But, Jesus has been working!
Phillip just put an update on our family blog about our recent robbery!!
God has created MIRACLES!!  You can read the update HERE!
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
I was busy doing some Christmas baking today with our kids...to help our hearts...so I'm just now getting to post for today.  So, I'll post Day 21 and Day 22 together. =)
~21st Day of Christmas!~
I wanted to make some yummy candies, but I don't have a candy thermometer here, nor have I ever seen one for sale.
Jesus helped me to find some recipes that I could MICROWAVE and not have to use a thermometer.  All the recipes turned out DELIGHTFUL!!!
~Here's the Peanut Butter fudge that we made today, and it's YUMMY!

~Easy Peanut Butter Fudge~
2 sticks unsalted butter
1 cup smooth Peanut Butter
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 pound (4 cups) powdered sugar
Combine the butter and P. Butter in a 4 Qt. microwave safe bowl and cover with plastic.  Microwave for 2 mins. on high.  Stir and cover again with a new piece of plastic and microwave another 2 mins.  Add vanilla and p. sugar and stir to combine with a wooden spoon.  The mixture will become hard to stir and lose it's sheen.
Spread into a buttered 8x8 (or I used a 8.5x11) lined with parchment paper.  Cover surface of fudge and refrigerate for 2 hours.  Cut into 1" pieces and store in airtight container at room temp for up to a week.
~We also found this microwave Peppermint Swirl Fudge recipe.
Supper easy and MELTS IN YOUR MOUTH!!
The fudge is "hiding" inside my FUN Christmas tin. Pics of fudge below. =D~
~It's Delicious! ~

~We can't stop eating this Peppermint fudge!!~

 ~22nd Day of Christmas~
~Christmas Baking with our children!~
Cherry kiss Cookies
~Elijah got pretty good at cutting at the cut-out cookies that we made for our church snack.~
~Some of the cut-out cookies that Elijah and I made.~

~We made Fried Yucca recently.  It was "to die for!" YUM!  =) ~
~I decided to make Noah, Elijah, and Mary some jean aprons.  And Kimberly, Sarah, and I found our aprons here (on sale of course! I don't like to pay normal price for ANYTHING. =) ~
~Having fun...baking with my kids.
I put "Cars" on Noah's apron, Candies on Elijah (You can't see it but I have Candy stitching on there too), and a butterfly, heart, star and red rick rack on Mary's apron.~
~We had so many recipes going at one time, it was crazy! =) ~
~We made banana bread to pass out to our neighbors in our row, to our 2 guards, our house owner, etc.~
~Here we are heading out to pass them out. Phillip had just come back from the police station, and he took our picture here and went with us to pass our goodies out.~
~And of course no day of baking can be without an accident. =)  Our 9x13 of red hard candy "Just Like GRAM'S!" crashed to the ground.  Thankfully we had made another pan.~
~A tray of some of our goodies we made to give to some of our friends~
Jesus is giving us a good CHRISTmas season!
Your prayers and comments are making our Season ...away from Home...MUCH Brighter!!   =)

Heather, your family looks so cute in these pictures of them in their aprons! I can hardly stand looking at the kids because it makes me want to see them in person, so badly! Thank you for the pictures of EACH child! Just tonight, I was wishing some kind bakers would bring me some Christmas cookies and candy, so it is fun seeing you all in your aprons, taking goodies to your neighbors. I can imagine you guys were a treat to look at when you showed up at your neighbor's doors bearing your Christmas delights. I'm so happy you are making these memories with your children. The aprons made everything seem special in these pictures. What a NEAT idea!
I am SO GRATEFUL FOR THE RETURN OF YOUR HARD-EARNED PAPERWORK! Praise God from whom all blessings flow! Love, Mom D

I kept checking all day yesterday for word from our children, somehow felt that the briefcase would be returned. I was baking here also but for some reason my kitchen did not look as festive as yours! Children make Christmas! It brought back many memories when I too went to our kitchen to make Christmas candies with you children. I could see the whole thing from Elijah's cutouts to the peanut butter on his mouth. By the way his cookies looked as good as Grams, I have a job for him when he gets home for the next Christmas. Praising God for his care for you. Sooooo glad that Phillip got home in time to help with touching hearts of your neighbors. Thank you for this most Christmasy post and showing the Spirit of the Season even in tribulation! Merry Christmas to you all, I love and miss you, Moma

Oh, there is just too much pretty to remember on this post to comment about it all!!! I love the aprons, reminds me of the days that you little girls wore the gingerbread ones that Grandma Bryan made. Your pretty serving pieces are so nice as are the candies and cookies . . . would love to be your neighbor . . . for more reasons than one! Got to get back to frying Daddy's corn cakes and sausages or I may loss my good-paying job! ;-) love, Moma
