~Our December 2014 in pics...part 1~

I hope that y'all had a great ending of 2014 and beginning of 2015!  Happy New Year!
~ ~ ~ ~ ~
I forgot to tell y'all that in the airport, at 2 different gates they called for our family like this: "The Dickinson group" or "the Dickinson party" please come to the desk, or "The Dickinson party can begin loading."  I told Phillip, "We are no longer a "family" now we are a "group or party!" Hee! Hee! :-)
~ ~ ~ ~ ~
We spent our New's year's eve here in Colombia.  We had a church service at 5:00 P.M. in which I played the piano, Sarah sang, Kimberly played her violin, and Phillip preached.  We all felt God's sweet presence as we sang choruses like: He'll come walking on the Water (Victory Trio), Come Holy Spirit we Need Thee,  and It will be worth it all when we see Jesus! Jesus helped Phillip as he preached on Loving God more this new year!
Then we came back to Pastor Jimmy and Sis. Farly's house and enjoyed a yummy supper, and a nice visit with Pastor Jimmy and Sis. Farly and their whole family.  I plan to post those pics soon.
But, first, I wanted to post pics of our December in the U.S.A.  We thought that we would be in S. America Before December, but God saw fit to let us ENJOY 24 days of December in our U.S.A. home! Here are the pics!

~Our 101 year old house is right in style with the Shabby Chic style.  And when Shabby Chic is no longer in style...it will still be Shabby Chic!  ;-)  But, I LOVE our old house! :-)~

~Mrs. Joan and Mrs. Phyllis (sisters to our Mission Director, Bro. Becker) bought NICE Christmas gifts for our family and gave them to us early.  So, since we didn't know how soon we would be leaving, and if we would need to exchange one of their gifts for a different size...we got to open their Christmas on Sunday Dec. 7th. :-)~
~We loved all of their gifts!!~
 ~Abigail enjoyed her First Christmas!! :-) ~
~Then on Wednesday, December 10th, our dear friends Luann Boardman and her 2 daughters came for a QUICK but WONDERFUL visit!  Kara and Kimberly graduated from Kindergarten together so they and Bethany and Sarah have been life-long friends.
This was the tablescape I used for our breakfast with them.~
~These red and white gingham runner and napkins are the ones I made when we still lived here in Colombia.~

~And here is our yummy hot chocolate/coffee bar!~
~DEAR Luann and I in our back yard.  I love this girl.  She's the one that introduced me to Starbucks coffee back in 2003 in AZ.  :-) ~
 ~Kimberly, Kara, Bethany, and Sarah.~
The Boardmans had to leave on Thursday, December 11th.
That evening we had a nice Global Holiness Missions missionary get-together at a Mexican restaurant.  It was a good time of fellowship!
~Phillip and I leaving for the Missionary time.~

~Our Dear Director Bro. Becker holding Abigail.~
~Each missionary had to tell something embarrassing that had happened to us. That got pretty funny as you can imagine.  Pastor Eisenhart gave a meaningful devotional!
It was a nice evening with yummy Mexican food and lots of nice Missionary fellowship. ~
Then on Friday, December 12th, we invited several of our friends over for a Christmasy snack.  There were 32 of us in all. :-)
I made yummy Cappuccino punch!~
~The starting of the line. ~
~Little Christmasy hats made out of a green grape, a slice of banana, a strawberry, and a mini marshmallow. :-)~

~Each lady brought something sweet and something salty, so with what I made, we had PLENTY of food to go around. ~
~I made the P.Butter kiss cookies in the pics above, and oreo cookie ball suckers.~

~I love using our antique stove as a buffet.  It held my water with cranberries floating in it, and my sweet ice tea.~

~Phillip cut up a fresh pineapple for me to serve that night.~
~It was fun visiting with our Mission directors, Grammy, our ministers of church music from our dear CNC church, and our other dear friends.~
~My sweet friend Stephanie with her Robbie and our Abigail.~
~Our music ministers...and DEAR friends Rob and Stephanie with their Robbie and our Abigail.~

~Grammy was a big help making my pepperoni rolls for me.  And Sis. Becker and Beth A. kept our dishes washed up!  What dear ladies!~

~Our good friends and fellow Global Holiness Mission missionaries Bryon and Michele Fling invited our family and another Global Holiness Mission missionary couple... the Gareth Carters over for a delicious meal!!  It was a fun evening visiting together and sharing our missionary stories, etc.~
~Please keep Phillip in your prayers.  Pastor Jimmy asked him to preach every service while we are here in Colombia...so he is spending a lot of his days in prayer and Bible study for the services.
~He leaves tomorrow to spend the weekend visiting our church in Medellin and preaching there.
~Please pray for the services and for protection for him there and for the kids and I here.
~Also please pray for an unspoken request.

Thank you bunches for your prayers!  We are enjoying being with our Dear Colombian people!
~Heather~

Ahh...it's a PARTY! :) I remember a little boy we used to babysit would say that when he came ~ there were six of us. :) People have funny perceptions. Lol! Your little house on the hillside is absolutely charming and I am glad you were able to enjoy Christmas stateside before heading to your beloved people in Columbia! Love, Aunt Nesi

Dear Heather, This post is so Christmassy with your decorations in the different parts of your cute home, the people dressed so nicely with lots of red in the outfits, the beautifully wrapped presents under your slender Christmas tree, and all of the good fellowship together that shows in the pictures. It's fun seeing your red & white gingham runners and napkins again. They are so appropriate for this occasion. How nice that the Boardman girls got to visit with you for a day or two, and Luann and you look cute together by the fire pit. Your most embarrassing moments on the mission field sounded like a fun activity, not to mention the special occasion of getting to eat at a Mexican Food restaurant. Brother Becker and Abigail looked like old friends, as he carried her around in his arms. I wish I could have heard Rob R and you, as you teased each other that night. I love listening to you two when you banter together-you make me laugh so much by how you tease each other. Boy, I guess Phillip will get in good shape for preaching if he is to preach every service while he is in Colombia. Dear Brother Jimmy will enjoy listening to someone else preach for awhile, and it will refresh his heart. I'm so happy you all made it to Colombia and I pray that Jesus will help you to be able to make the last lap of your journey to Buenos Aires. Love, Mom D
