~Fun Food Friday...Frozen Fruit and Easy Lemon Cookies

~Like I mentioned earlier, we had a fun tea party, my friend Marisol, Kimberly, Sarah, and I.
I served a couple recipes that I thought I'd share with you today.  Here's our place setting.  While digging through my place card drawer, I was happy to find some little place cards with tea pots on them.   =)
In the center of our plate is a little bowl with Frozen Fruit. (Sorry, that the picture is so small; someone else took the picture for me.  The frozen fruit was still frozen in a chunk, and I didn't have time to "fix it" before this picture was taken.  =)
Although partially frozen when you serve it, it normally would be soft enough to eat with a spoon. ~

~Frozen Fruit~
3 cups water
1 cup sugar
A package of sliced frozen strawberries  (or fresh)
20 oz. can of pineapple (or dice up a fresh pineapple)
1 can of frozen orange juice concentrate (or use 2 cups fresh orange juice with some sugar added)
5 lg. bananas, diced.

Stir and put in a large freezable container.  Stir often, every 20 mins. or so, and then freeze all night.  Set out at least 1/2 hour before serving.     (My sister Laura shared this recipe with me years ago, and it's a big hit with our family.  So cool and refreshing for summer-time!)
 And as always....ENJOY!

~I also served Easy Lemon Cookies.~

~We had a fun tea party.  I also made peach scones (using the Strawberry scone recipe that I have posted twice, and using peaches instead of Strawberries.)~
~I was so GLAD that I had purchased some yummy Celestial Seasonings Tea (on my recent trip to the USA) to enjoy with Marisol.~
~I saw a fun centerpiece idea in Better Homes and Gardens.  So, we went around our house collecting vases and put roses in various vases in the center of the table.
~Our table.~
~The centerpiece again.~
~Before we moved to Colombia back in 2006, my sweet friend Aunt Nesi gave me some tea pot cookie cutters.  So, we used those to cut our bread for our sandwiches. Thanks, Aunt Nesi.  =)   ~
~We showed Marisol our pictures from our time in Argentina.  She enjoyed seeing them.~
~Marisol REALLY loved our tea party and couldn't say enough nice things about it and our time together.  It was a lovely afternoon making fun memories to last a life time.~

Dearest Heather, I enjoyed getting a peak at your tea and your time with Carlos and Gloria. Touching lives in telling the same Sweet Story in a different day with a different way. May God bless and multiply your efforts. Love, Moma

Dear delightful Heather, This post contains the most fun and pretty items. I cannot imagine the joy and love that must have filled Marisol's heart, as she enjoyed this feminine time with your girls and you. I was relaxed and enjoying the pictures of your "High Tea" when the picture of you four girls on the couch scrolled up. I immediately burst into laughter when I saw your cute yellow !SHOES! with your pretty yellow scarf. Out of all the pretty scenes on this post, the photo with your yellow shoes JUMPED RIGHT OUT AT ME! LOL! If Phillip ever gets bored while living with you, I guess he'll be dead! Ha! Your mother and you certainly know how to minister to the 'girlish' part of a woman's heart. Love, Mom D
