~An Elijah update~

It is 4:50 AM and This Mommy's heart cannot sleep. So, I got up to spend time with God and to update you on our precious little Elijah. It appears that Elijah had/is having an asthma attack. Yesterday I told Phillip that I thought he should take our Elijah to the hospital and that is where they are. I'm DYING to be there with my little baby boy, but I have a tiny baby Mary and 3 other children who need me. The children and I are doing lots of PRAYING and CRYING and talking to Jesus about our little boy who didn't even have enough breath to say, "Mommy" before they left!
THANK YOU FOR YOUR PRAYERS...BUT PLEASE KEEP PRAYING! Elijah is not out of the woods yet. Phillip called me late last night to tell me that Elijah has a fever. They have given him several breathing treatments, but he is still wheezing and can hardly breathe. We have no clue how long he will have to stay in the hospital. Only God knows what is going on, and I want to go on record to say that We are TRUSTING Jesus with our LOVED little boy that He has loaned us! I'm weeping as I write this!
~I took this picture Sunday morning because Phillip and I thought that Elijah's tie was so cute and tiny beside Phillip's tie!~~A tiny little Elijah trying to catch his breath. It was soooooo SAD watching him take tiny breaths. I wished I could just breathe for him!!~
~We prayed together as Phillip left for the hospital with our little Elijah. We were ALL weeping!!!~
~Our precious little bundle of energy...who was the COMPLETE opposite... as he was leaving for the hospital.~
~Bless the Lord, Oh my soul: and all that is within me Bless His HOLY NAME!~ Ps. 103:1

Your prayers are sooooooooo much appreciated! I'll keep you as updated as I can! I plan to go and visit Elijah and Phillip this morning, the Lord willing.

We are holding Elijah before God in prayer. Trusting Him! Praying for you as well. I can't imagine the agony of wanting to be with your little one and being unable. If it were possible I would be on my way to babysit for you.

Heather, I am so sorry you are facing this! Our second son has asthma and has had several ER visits as well. I know that awful feeling of holding a gasping child in your lap and willing them to take another breath! Is is interesting how at times you wonder how you can handle the noise and energy, but when you see them so pitiful you are so ready to deal with the energy again! My Mommy heart hurts that you cannot be with your little guy right now, and I hope all of this is soon resolved. I will be praying often for you. Love you all!

Pardon my typo in the last one. :-(

Poor little guy. It's hard to see your children suffering. Praying Jesus will touch him.

Could it be a reaction to the mold problem? That can cause allergies and do bad stuff to the lungs.

I'm so sorry, Heather. Reading this broke my heart. Our oldest daughter has asthma...first manifest around Elijah's age. It was/is terrifying. I know what you're feeling all too well...but what I can't imagine is being alone in a foreign country trying to get through this. My heart just breaks for you. We are praying for your little Elijah and for all of you. God is able!

Heather, we're praying and crying, too. Trusting God! If he has a fever, it sounds like pneumonia or a lung infection(you don't get a fever with an asthma attack). Aunt Jean used to get lung infections all the time with her asthma. So sad for little Elijah! Love you all

Heather, Phillip, and children,
These pictures are absolutely adorable. They show exactly the sadness of that particular time, and Elijah looks totally drained of all strength. The two girls holding Elijah look very concerned, while little Mary is lost in the blankets. :-)
I have been anxiously awaiting another blog report, so I appreciate you taking your time of rest to post this.
We have serious concerns going on in our life also. I nearly grieved to death yesterday, over everything added together but it is such a comfort to know that not one sparrow falls to the ground without our Father knowing about that bird's situation. And, shall he not much more take care of us?
What a blessing is deep love! I delight in the deep love I have for each of you.
