~Phillip, Someone stole my purse!!~

Have you ever had something taken from you?  Then you know that SICK feeling that hits your chest/stomach when you realize that something that belonged to you is GONE!!!
Yesterday evening Phillip, Noah, Elijah, and baby Mary and I decided to go to a large store (like Walmart) to get some things. (Kimberly and Sarah didn't go.)   When we got into the store I took baby Mary in the stroller and went one way and Phillip took the boys in a car cart and went another.  I had a long grocery list so was happily going through the store completing my list.  I just lacked a few items when I realized that my purse that had been on the back of Mary's stroller was GONE!  I'm not sure when they took it.  I guess I must have turned my back to get something, and they snatched it!  So, Phillip went to inform the guards at the doors and I tried to go over in my mind as to what was in my bag.  The only thing that I could think of that I really WANTED BACK was my nice cell phone that Phillip had purchased for me...that works both here in Colombia and will work in Argentina as well.  I tried to complete the rest of my shopping all the while PRAYING that if it was God's will He'd help us get my purse back.  I kept telling myself, "The Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away, Blessed be the Name of the Lord!"
As we were leaving the store [Without my purse] I was telling Phillip that I was SICK that I had put my phone in there, for I usually don't put my phone or our camera in that bag.   Then...I happened to feel in my coat pocket which I was wearing, and THERE was my phone!  YEA!!!
The thief didn't get much... just got diapers, wipes, sunglasses in their case, an umbrella, Bath and Body works lotion and hand gel, etc. =)
PRAISE THE LORD that these IMPORTANT things were NOT stolen:
(I normally would have some of the following things in my purse, but had left them at home!!!)
~My wallet with my VISA banking card and new Colombian ID card in it!
~Our Camera
~My keys
~My Spanish Bible
~My new cell phone (which was in my pocket!)
God is good...ALL THE TIME!!

Thank you, Kira and Brittany, for your nice comments.

Thankfully, Brittany, it was just my jean bag that I got at Bath and Body works years ago, not my cute Black purse! =)

So glad none of your personal information was stolen. My sister in law just had her purse stolen, with a lot of personal information, which is a headache. Praise the Lord for His protection.

Dearest Heather and Phillip,
While your blog site was downloading and the screen was still dark, I could make out the title of this post; thus my heart dropped down 'mongst my liver and things when I read it.
BUT, I am grateful for your beautiful attitude, and I am thankful that your IMPORTANT things were not touched. "He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust."
Love, Mom D

What a scary story. So glad you and baby Mary were protected. That thief was probably aggravated when he found out how little he got from you! Probably threw your purse down! :) So glad God was watching out for you!!
