~A surprise visit~

On Wednesday morning we got a phone call from a Tim Brubeck from the USA. He was visiting Bogota for a few days and he said that he had some things for us. I couldn't figure out what in the world he had for us, for we didn't know him. He arrived, along with a Colombian couple, and we had a nice visit. His wife, Chelle, is from my parents new church in Westfield, IN. So Chelle had called my Mother and my Moma gave her some ideas of what we would like or need and then Chelle and her children went shopping and sent us a goody package with her husband Tim. She sent me a lot of NICE and pretty Maternity clothes, and a couple nice maternity patterns. Since I sold most of my maternity clothes before we went on missionary deputation, I'm thrilled to have some new ones. There was also some PACES for Sarah, and some nice toys for our children in the package! We were very pleasantly surprised with this care package! THANK YOU VERY MUCH, BRUBECKS!!! You made our week very special! =)
~Tim Brubeck, a Colombian couple and us. (Please excuse my jean dress. When I have the energy to get dressed now-a-days, I live in that dress, for it is more comfortable on my nauseated tummy. Notice the stack of "new to me" maternity clothes on the couch at the bottom left hand corner of this picture. =)~

Thanks for your prayers for Baby and I. God has given me a good Saturday. I'm feeling some better today, and I've gotten a lot of things done, and I'm very thankful! =)

Ah, I know Time and Chelle! They used to attend the church in Frankfort, In! What a neat surprise for you!

Yeah, I know the Brubecks, too, but had lost track of them. Nice to have an idea where they are.

Heather, I looked back a few posts and saw your note about the smells. When we were in language school in Costa Rica we used to pass a beer brewery. Whew! I've never drunk the stuff, and with the smell it has, I don't see how anyone can.

I hope you start feeling better soon.

We've been reading your posts-as always. We are sad to hear of your hard times, and been praying for each of you. What a nice surprise to have some company bearing gifts-and from your Mom & Dad's area, no less! I've been too tired to type comments, and had visitors also. Love all of you dearly! Mom & Dad D

Glad you had a good Saturday! So sorry about your bad week!

Just wondering if you got my email about PACEs? I know you've had a hard week, so when you get a chance, let me know.

I was wondering what you were doing for maternity clothes. What a hand delivered blessing that was for you :) We had the Keeps at our church last night. I had never met them before. Our church is new to the Bible Methodist Heartland Conference. I got to set by Jesse and chat. I was way more into him than he was me. ha As soon as he was done eating he was ready to go play.
I hope today is a good day for you.

The Bruebecks are old college friends to us! Glad you got to meet Tim, and you would just LOVE Chelle. Maybe I can e-mail you some pictures of their family that I took at campmeeting this year. I pray you'll be feeling better soon. So happy that you got some maternity clothes.

Oh, Heather, I am SOOO Glad you received such a nice "pick-me-up!" I have been feeling your "pain" & frustration with all you can't get done & trying to take care of your family's needs too. I have been disliking VERY Much that there is no way to "reach" you to Help in a "hands-on" way. We are Praying, but it would be nice to be able to put "hands" to our prayers sometimes! Thank you, God, for "reaching" you with this nice surprise!

Thank the Lord! I feel like Deanna, I wish I could be there to help you! Sometimes I wish I could just fly over there and pack you up and bring you home with me! But thank the Lord for sending a smile your way:)

The salad you posted looks great. David doesn't like any kind of salad dressings and will only put salt and pepper on his salads. Therefore, he's not too thrilled about eating salads because they are so dry. I think he would really like this one with the lemon juice - great idea. I'll have to try it soon.

We're still praying for you!
