~An hour out in the sun, helped us and was fun!~

Yesterday, Phillip insisted that the kids and I get dressed and GET OUT OF THE HOUSE and get some fresh air and sun. After being cooped up in our home and being sick for about a week, and Kimberly and I were still fighting the virus, we NEEDED to get out. So, we walked (and the kids rode their bikes) to a park 1/2 mile away. We bought some drinks, enjoyed some fresh avocado with salt, and let the kids play. I just sat in the wonderful WARM sun, and then I laid a coat down and laid down in the nice warm grass and watched my family enjoy this park. (It's hard to tell in this picture, but one of these swings was broken.)
~Phillip found some wire and fixed the broken swing. It worked, for he even tried it out, and it held him. =)
~Our children were playing with some of the broken playground equipment, "making a house". Sarah and Noah were enjoying "building"
~The girls and Phillip laid down and looked at clouds, to see if they could find clouds in the shapes of different things.

~After we came home, I told Phillip that while I was laying down in the grass at the park that I had snapped a few pics of he and the kids. He said, "Oh, I wanted a picture of you there too." I told him that I DID NOT want a picture of me, for I was in my SAME jean dress, and he's a little turkey (a very SWEET turkey) for he then snapped this picture while I was checking email. =D~

On the way home, we were crossing a large foot bridge that crosses 6 lanes of traffic to get to our home, and we happened to see the lady that helps me a couple times a week, walking away from our house. We knew she was coming, and were trying to get home to meet her. Phillip started whistling trying to get her attention, and I yelled her name. We finally got her attention, and I was walking across the bridge and Noah was riding his bike in front of me. I was watching her, and didn't notice (UNTIL IT WAS TOO LATE) that Noah had decided to go down the VERY STEEP ramp of the bridge by himself, and he isn't strong enough to use his hand brakes (that's all they have on bikes here) on his bike yet. HELP! So, I was trying to decide what to do, for I knew he was probably going to crash and and BURN any minute. Thank the Lord, he hadn't gone far before he crashed into the railing of the bridge ramp. He hurt his knee, but I was VERY relieved that he didn't go all the way to the bottom, for he would've been going VERY fast by the time he would have gotten to the bottom and then if he would have crashed, it would have been VERY BAD! My helper really cleaned up my house, did laundry and folded clean laundry, so that really encouraged my heart, and I know that that hour out in the fresh air and sun really did the kids and I a lot of good. PRAISE THE LORD, Our kids seem to be over the virus. I did have sort of a rough evening, but God is helping me today. THANK YOU FOR YOUR PRAYERS, If you don't mind, keep them up! =) (Every other month, I LONGINGLY AWAIT my Taste Of Home Magazine to arrive in the mail. Thank the Lord my new issue just arrived, BUT NOW I'M TO NAUSEATED TO LOOK AT IT! =)

Glad the kids are getting better! Praying for you to feel MUCH better soon. I think Phillip was perfect to get you all out of the house and in the sun for awhile. Sometimes it's hard to get moving, but well worth it in the end. Also, don't worry about what you're wearing! All of us do not care about that, we just want you to feel better!

For all we know you have 2 jean dresses just alike :) I'm so glad you were able to get out. I used to clean houses before I had my babies. As I cleaned I loved thinking of the family coming home to it. Very rewarding.
Last evening we went to Youth Challenge and I was talking with Jonanthan Heaths wife (can't think of her name)and she was saying that she is 5 mo. along and just spent several days in the hospital from dehydration. She can't keep anything down. Keep drinking those juices because we don't want to hear about you being in the hospital :)

So glad y'all got to get out. Katy and I have had a cold/sinus infection for the past few days and it has been a little too chilly to get out and risk getting chilled. You look very perturbed(in a cute way) in the picture of you on the computer! Good post. Thanks for your sweet comments and I will continue prayer for you. Please do the same for me!

Your hour in the sun sounds great - the sun is so warm here today, too. Feels great after the major cooling trend we have experienced this week - in the 40s at night and not much over 70 during the days. If we had 4 nice lawn chairs, the boys and I would be sititng out in the back yard having homeschool. Hey, that's a good idea...I'll have to see about that.
I'm sorry you're still soooo sick - I really hope it will pass soon. You are in my prayers. It was good to hear your Dad pray after Marc's message at UBC last night...brought back memories.

Love,
Melodie

I am so glad you got to get out a little bit. I'm sure getting out helped alot. Your picture was very cute, you look like you had gotten caught doing something naughty. :) We wouldn't even notice the jean dress if you didn't keep mentioning it, girlie!! :)

Oh, I meant to tell you that I am trying the fruit centerpiece at Kathy Irvine's bridal shower tomorrow. It's in the latest Taste of Home. I will try to take pictures, unless it doesn't turn out. :) Did you know Kathy? Did you know she is getting married? We are all so very happy for her and her new husband to be.

So glad to see you were able to get out for some fresh air and sunshine. The kids looked like they were having fun. I hope you get to feeling better soon. Thank the Lord that I wasn't sick with either of my girls, but I hated being pregnant. I was so miserable because I was BIG my whole pregnacies. Or at least that's the way it seemed. Hopefully you'll get better soon. At least we'll pray for that to happen :):) God bless.

Ahhhh.....NEVER underestimate the power of sunshine! I am a believer in its medicinal value! Good to hear that you received a brief reprieve to the "yuckies". I enjoyed a quick chat with your sister at YC this weekend. It was good to see her again after several years. And I know better how to pray for you, too! You are often in my thoughts and prayers. Take care of yourself and that little baby!
