~Have I caught the vision?~

I read this on Above Rubies, and it challenged me.

HAVE YOU CAUGHT THE VISION?
THREE MASONS
Once a man came upon three rock masons at work. “What are you doing?” he asked of them.
“I am carving these stones into the different sizes wanted,” answered the first.
“I am earning six dollars a day,” replied the second.
“I am helping to build a great cathedral,” commented the last.
Only he had caught the vision of the great work that he was helping to do!

THREE MOTHERS
Once a woman came upon three mothers at work. “What are you doing?” she asked of them.
“I am doing the weekly washing,” answered the first.
“I am doing a bit of household drudgery,” replied the second.
“I am mothering three young children who someday will fill important and useful spheres in life, and wash-day is a part of my grand task in caring for these souls who shall live forever,” replied the third.
Only she had caught the vision of the great work she was doing!

P.S. The painting is by Jim Daly.

The other morning Noah got Abigail out of bed and her diaper had FALLEN OFF AND WAS DOWN INSIDE THE FOOT OF HER JAMMIES! :-) ~
~I had some of my left-over "Reese's" that I had rolled into balls before Abigail's party but didn't have time to dip into chocolate, so just wrapped them and threw them in the 'fridge.
So one day, when we were all wanting something sweet, my Reese's came in handy!
I didn't want to take the time to dip them, so quickly drizzled some white and dark chocolate over them.
(Here in Argentina, They sell these neat bags of white and dark chocolate. The bags are all ready to put in warm water to soften, and then just trim off the corner and BOOM, you are ready to decorate your desserts. :-) ~
 ~Yummy~
~The Thunder and lightning here in Argentina are like NOTHING I have ever heard or seen!

I'm talking THUNDER THAT IF YOU WERE N.O.T. RIGHT WITH GOD, IT WOULD MAKE YOU KNEEL RIGHT DOWN AND REPENT, AND TREMBLE AT GOD'S MIGHT, it's so LOUD and scary!

During the night the other night, all the sudden it started Lightning and THUNDERING SO loudly!!!
I told Phillip ANY MINUTE Elijah and our other kids are going to be in here!
Sure enough...I looked up and 4 of our 6 children were standing at our door!
Noah told me later that when they heard the thunder, Noah jumped in bed with Elijah and at the same time Elijah jumped into Noah's bed! :-)
So, then they BOTH jumped into Noah's bed together, then they were so SCARED they decided to RUN TO OUR ROOM!
The Thunder was sooooo LOUD and scary and Shook our whole house!
Kimberly thought it was a BOMB!!
So, big sister Sarah graciously scooted over in her bed, and let a very nervous Noah and Elijah join her and a sound-asleep little Mary.~
~The next morning found us without electricity, so we're doing school THE ROMANTIC WAY... by candlelight. :-) ~
~Then we made lunch and had a picnic in the backyard to enjoy the light and the warm sunshine!~
~A pretty flower that Phillip picked in our back yard for us to enjoy.  It almost looks like someone bleached some of the petals.~
~Sweet Adorable Baby Abigail has learned to play "PEEK-A-BOO" this way! :-) ~
Now, I'm going to go enjoy "Mothering"...a Happy day to you. :-)

Those were nice sentiments regarding "catching the vision". Abigail's diaper in the leg of her sleepers made me smile. I laughed so hard because of the boys jumping in the other one's bed. I can just see them as they ran in unison to your room. Now that's loud when Kimberly thought the thunder was a bomb! The flower that Phillip picked for you all sure does look like a Camellia to me. That's the exact same-looking type of flower that I have in my front yard, even down to the totally different colors on the petals. I love them. This and your last post was interesting and fun to read. Love, Mom D
