~Fun Food Friday...an easy yummy cheese ball~

~I told you that I'd share the recipe of the cheese ball I made for our Ladies' Tea.  It was easy and very yummy!  I formed mine and put it on my Fall leaf plate.  I made 3 cheese balls, but I had so much food that we only ate one at the Tea Party.  So, we kept one and sent the other one home with Sis. Farly for her, Pastor Jimmy and their family to eat.
I hope you enjoy it as much as the Ladies, Pastor Jimmy and his family and our family did. =) ~
~Celebration Cheese Ball~
About.com (Southern food)
  • 6 (3-ounces each) packages cream cheese, or 18 ounces, room temperature
  • 8 ounces shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
  • 2 teaspoons grated onion
  • 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 teaspoons finely minced garlic
  • Finely chopped pecans or peanuts (I used toasted almonds since I cannot get pecans or walnuts here.)
Serve with your choice of crackers.
And as Always...Enjoy!

This recipe looks easy and sounds good! I remember when dad worked at GBS and there would be functions in the dining hall, and different ladies would occasionally bring a cheese ball for part of the evening's treats. I remember that Kim Marshall brought a cheese ball to some funtion that was going on there on campus. It seems I still have that recipe somewhere that I got from Kim for making a cheese ball like hers. Those were fun days. Love, Mom D

Yes, Heather, this comment above posted 3 times! In trying to erase 2 of the comments, all 3 got deleted. I gave up and had no clue that you could still see my 3 comments. I appreciate you fixing this for me, so that one comment showed and the other two got deleted. :-)
Love, Mom D
