~Chatting....and What am I carrying?~

First, for those of you who are on diets, I'm sorry that my blog has goodies posted on it quite often. I make those goodies because I LOVE to bake and to help us not miss our family/friends/country so much. But,I'm going to try to not make too many goodies in the next 3 weeks...although my new Taste of Home just arrived TODAY! =D My poor Noah is suffering withdrawals from not having goodies in the house. He just went to the cabinet and brought me a pack of Jello and asked me if I could make it up for him. =D Then a few minutes later he said, "Mommy, could you PLEASE make something!" I told him that he could go and get a piece of yummy fruit out of the fruit basket...so that is what he did. =)

For those interested, I'll try to post a pic of my shoes that Phillip bought me later. =) (Long story short, although Phillip purchased the size I told him, sizes VARY SOOOO MUCH here in Colombia, so the shoes are to big for me. (What fits you great in one store, is way too big for you in another store!) The city where Phillip found these shoes is very far from here, so I cannot go with him to try them on! Phillip plans to exchange the shoes for me...so I will wait to get a picture of the shoes when I have the right sizes! =)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Now...What am I carrying? One of my friends was telling me today that another one of our friends is due in 3 weeks, AND YOU CAN HARDLY TELL THAT SHE IS PREGNANT!!! AND...Here I am not even 6 months pregnant yet, and I look like I'm 9 months! =)
With our first 3 precious children, we did not find out what sex they were...we waited and let it be a surprise to us when they were born. However, when God called us to the mission field, I had to sell most of the clothes I had for babies, because I couldn't ask anyone to try to store all of those for us. So, Lord willing in a few weeks we plan to get an ultrasound to find out what God is giving us...a boy, or a girl, so I can shop for more clothes for him or her. We will be THRILLED with whatever God has for us. We'd love to have a brother for our Noah, but our girls would also love to have another girl to dress up too. =) Actually, Phillip and our girls are still hoping for twins so that Kimberly can "have" a baby, and Sarah "have" the other. =D I'm sure I'm just expecting one baby...but they haven't given up hope yet.
So, what do YOU think that we are having?
A Boy?
Or a Girl?
Or twins?
If you want to predict what we are having, we'll find out who is right in a few weeks. =)
I personally think you are having twins because of the way you are carrying and the size your tummy is. I know you are a little person and you usually show more quickly than others but my Heather...I think it is definitley twins.....just told Essie that the other day as a matter of fact!!
I of course have no idea, it is just exciting to think about another addition to the family.
Oh my word, Heather. You look just like I did at the end when I was carrying Tyler and Taylor. You look like you are carrying sooooo low. I vote for two rough and tumble boys!!! I wish you could come up here first and I would give you a FREE ultrasound and I could be the first to know what the gender is and the quantity of children you are carrying!! Oooooooo, I wish, I wish, I wish!!! :)
Wow! Let's see..I'd have to say I'd not be surprised at twins. How much movement do you feel? Would it be consistent with twins? (how would you know, right?) I think your 6 month bump is bigger than my full term bump for Logan. He was only 6 lbs though....smiles...
Well, you look great and I'm praying for the easy delivery of this precious one(s). Can't wait to hear what it is/they are!
Love to you all!
From experience--I love that my friend Kristen had twins. I never feel bad about asking to hold a baby :) Sooo I think your girls would love the whole twin thing. They would be a big help. You look beautiful, whatever you are carrying!! Sorry about the shoes, that had to be disappointing for Philip too.
I was anxious to see the shoes! Diet or no diet, I love seeing the baked goodies that you picture often! I can't imagine my daughter-in-law having twins but if you did, I would be elated. Whatever the situation, I pray only for baby's and your-best health and safe delivery. Thank you for writing again. Love, Mom D
It totally wouldn't surprise me if it were twins...but maybe a 10 pound boy! You look cute because you are "all" baby! Continue to take good care of yourself and that little one! And for those of us on diets...We still enjoy seeing all that delicious food! Keep it coming!
I'm guessing a Big bouncing baby Boy!!! I feel huge already too. Steph is 6 weeks ahead of me and I'm showing more than she is!! We should find out in 3-4 weeks too! Love, Susannna Pilmore
I am guessing twins, one of each. Your girls would love that:)
I guess it's only one, a boy - HE's just sticking out quite a bit. Twins would be lovely, though. If it's twins I'd vote for two boys.
Noah needs a brother:) Everyone thought I was having twins, too(when I was pregnant with Hunter). At 6 months, people started asking me if I was getting close to having my baby (babies:) I can't wait to hear what you all find out!
As the grandmother of twins...I'm hoping it is just one boy for you--for your son's sake. Then again your dauthers would probably have so much fun with a baby sister! You probably have no idea how much work twins are. But you do have a lot of help in your family so I'm sure it would work out fine. My daughter, Karen, had twins--a boy and a girl--& she never did get very big. So you can't tell by that. Here's hoping you get your wish with the ultrasound. :) And maybe it is twins....we'll see! Will you be coming back to the States for the birth of your baby?
My guess is a boy, although, I too, would not be suprised if there were 2 babies in there! :)
Thank y'all for all your nice comments on my blog. Although I think twins are very special, it is only my girls and my husband hoping for twins...for I cannot imagine coming back to Colombia to live with twins...without my Moma, sister, and other family to help me. =D But...I'm quite sure that I only have one baby. =)
I'm guessing a boy! I got big quick with Ashlee and had the same comments someone else mentioned...about having my baby soon even though I was only 6 or 7 months along! Of course, I'm shorter than you...
I'll guess a boy. I'm sure your kids (especially girls) will be a lot of help. I was only 5 1/2 when my little brother was born and I took care of him quite a bit.
Excited to hear what it is and hope to get to see him/her too!
I saw a picture of a lady who had twins of 6+ lbs. EACH and she didn't look any bigger than me with Lilly who was 7+ lbs.
Okay!!! I will guess one boy! I had twins, and think that you would probably be able to tell if you were feeling movement all over! (My husband always says "if it looks like they have a basketball in their belly, it is a boy!" We'll see if he is right!) I wish you the best of luck while you come back to the US and a safe delivery!
Maybe we will get to meet at IHC and put a "face" with our comments!
It will be so exciting to find out!! I know you'll keep us all posted!
For some reason my gut says boy too..... Although, I'm usually wrong! :) I'll be praying for the trouble this little one is causing you! They are truly a blessing though!
You GROW GIRL! <:D
Heather...Karen's father-in-law is a twin too! And there are several sets of twins in the Thompson family. Is that any comfort for you? :) Whatever Baby is, "he" will be precious!
You look just like I did with all of mine, well, at least the last 3 anyway and Moma says that's just what she looked like with all of us too. I'll be happy whatever the Lord gives you and that you GET TO BE HERE WITH US WHEN YOU DELIVER IS WONDERFUL!!!! Not at my house though! (inside joke! :)) Take care of yourself and can't wait to see you soon, we are getting SOOOOO excited to have you all in our Haus! Love, Laura
Everyone thought I was having twins all four times, I think ... and they're all BOYS, which I agree with Jonathan Walden. Basketballs and boys just go together!!! :-) When is your due date again? Hope to see you soon. Love, Angie Edwards
