~Brownies, Boo boos, and a Blue skateboard~

~Kimberly made brownies the other day, and Noah surely enjoyed licking the bowl.~~Kimberly and her brownies...YUM! YUM!~
~Poor Noah...I think we are going to have buy him some "ear pads" to protect his ears! ...He fell the other day and caught his ear on the sharp corner of our desk! OUCH! It's healing up well, Praise the Lord!~

~Months ago, Noah wanted a BLUE SKATEBOARD! I mean, he talked about a blue skateboard ALL OF THE TIME! When he mentioned it to me (which was several times a day) I would just casually tell him that he could talk to Jesus about it, and if it was God's will, God will give him a blue skateboard. (But I really was thinking that he DIDN'T "NEED" a blue skate board, so didn't really expect God to send him one. =) When Noah would pray and Thank God for our meals, he would always add, "And please give me a blue skateboard!" Well, this week we were at a store, and they had a bin of toys marked down to 70% off!! We were looking through that bin to get some toys for our "nursery" at one of our churches, when all of a sudden Noah said, "Look Mommy, there is a blue skateboard!" Sure enough, there was a new blue skateboard...on sale!! Needless to say, we bought Noah that blue skateboard...and it only cost us $3.50. Noah patted me while we were still in the store, smiled up at me and said, "Thank you, Mommy, for buying me this skateboard!" Noah is also thankful to Jesus the He kept anyone else from buying the ONLY BLUE SKATE BOARD that was on sale! God is awesome...and cares about Blue skateboards!~

~One blue skateboard, and one HAPPY Noah!~

Love that grin, Noah!! Noah looks like he got brownies on his feet too!!!! ;-) Good or you, Kimberly, learning to make yummy goodies! Kiana kneaded in the flour for our French bread on Fri. & did a great job. I was surprised that she was strong enough to do it. I usually have to help out towards the end. :-)

Glad to see that you're coming along well in your pregnancy! My computer was hit by a storm and I just got it back up and running. I've been trying to catch up on everyone's blogs. Loved the story about the skateboard, it is so inspiring to my faith when I see something happen to strengthen the faith of my children! Love and Prayers, Lisa Graham Pond

Little things matter -- to kids and to God. Isn't He wonderful? How are you feeling, Heather? See ya in Dayton?

Oooooh - brownie batter is the best! I sometimes make them just so I can devour the batter (a rather unhealthy habit). :-)

Looks like Kimberly is following after her mommy and becoming quite the cook! Noah is going to have to start wearing ear pads instead knee or elbow pads. Isn't God just Awesome. He cares about the smallest of things. That is skate board is a small thing to us moms but, it was huge to Noah. It is just like our awesome God to increase the faith of our children over a blue skateboard!!!!!! We love you all and are praying for you!!! Michelle J

This post helped me Heather, to endeavor to pray more specifically for the desires of my heart. I think Jesus knew that Noah's blue skateboard answer to prayer would be a boost to the faith of all who read this story. It has inspired me to trust Jesus more. I love it that Phillip & you are raising your children for Christ and His cause. Love, Mom D

God is so good to us! I love it that Noah was taught to ask Jesus for the things he wants, and what a boost to his faith (and the rest of us) that he received the exact skateboard he wanted.

Kimberly is being taught to bake by the mistress of baking herself, or so I hear! Someday I'm going to have to live close enough to you to learn for myself (grin). It's hard to believe the gorgeous little girl who came with her mommy and daddy to stay with us for a short time in 1999 has grown up to be old enough to teach Sunday School and bake brownies.

I love it that Kimberly and Sarah are learning to play the violin. I'm going to begin piano lessons at our community college this summer -- IF they can teach this old dog some new tricks. I took lessons as a child but my parents couldn't afford them so I had to quit. I can pound out the notes to a song if I'm learning a new song, but that's all. Now at 55, I'm going to try again -- please pray for me as my fingers are not as agile as they once were.

I love that picture of Noah with the brownies mixing bowl. He surely enjoyed it!

We love reading about your lives. Thanks for letting us share a tiny bit.
