~Phillip's HAPPY Birthday~

PLEASE pray that my Better Homes and Gardens magazines will start arriving.  I haven't had one since I left Argentina (over 7 months), and our internet that we use here in Colombia is so SLOW I cannot see the pictures on Pinterest.  What fun is Pinterest, without the pics?  So, my heart is DYING to have a/some new Better Homes and Gardens magazines to look at.  Please pray that if someone is stealing them, they'll quit, so I can start getting them!   THANKS for helping me pray that they arrive...I'll let you know WHEN Jesus answers!  =)

Thank you for all y'all's fun Happy Birthday comments/emails to Phillip.  He enjoyed reading all of them.  Thanks to our DEAR Pastor Jimmy and Sis. Farly's help, Phillip had a WONDERFUL 39th birthday.  =)  Weeks ago they invited us over to their house for Phillip's birthday dinner.
~For Phillip's birthday breakfast for our family Kimberly and I made Fried potatoes, scrambled eggs, ....~

~Coffee, and Honey Bun Coffee cake.  He REALLY enjoyed his breakfast.~

~Then I quickly threw together 2 of my apple pies while Kimberly worked on a 7-layer salad to take to Pastor Jimmy and Sis. Farly's house.~

~They had purchased and fixed a nice DELICIOUS ham, yummy creamy/cheesy potatoes, fruit, Tea, and a very typical Colombian snack...saltine crackers with jelly in them.  (This is a nice little snack they serve with a typical drink at the beginning of an event/gathering to the guests who have arrived...while everyone is WAITING for the rest of the guests to arrive. (You know things could begin up to an hour late in this culture. =)   We've grown to like this simple snack. =) ~

~This was a delicious meal.  Someone commented that it felt like a Christmas dinner!~

~Then Bro. Jimmy's uncle came and brought Phillip a very nice gift.~

~I had Phillip pick up a volcano candle while he was out, knowing that our kids would enjoy it. =) (The gift from Bro. Jimmy's uncle was 2 shirts and a tie.  The shirt Phillip is wearing in this pic is one of them.   He had wanted Phillip to try the shirts on to make sure they fit, so Phillip left this shirt on for the rest of the evening.)~

~Later Pastor Jimmy's sister Judy and her husband John and their 2 children came by and brought Phillip a nice card and gift too.  We had a wonderful afternoon with our DEAR Colombian Friends/Family.
