~Guess What?~

Serving Jesus is very rewarding...and can be filled with surprises! He has given our family several surprises in the last few years. The first one was when He called us to move to Colombia, South America. The second is that it looks we will be working in Argentina as well soon.

Now...just 9 days after returning back to Colombia from our deputation time in the USA, we have found out that.....we are expecting our 5th child. =D
We are still asking each other if it is really true. However, I know it's true for...I'm feeling a little "green around the gills" right now, and very tired. =) (I'm just sad because I brought 2 suitcases of clothes that I won't be able to wear this year...and all my maternity clothes are in storage in Ohio. ) We all are excited about our new little baby and everyone is working together to help around the house until Mommy gets better! Just a few days before I found out that we were expecting...I had been on 2 peoples' blogs. When seeing pictures of their families I had thought...That is neat that they have 5 children, but, I'm content with our 4. (Because of the way our lives are, we are constantly on the run, flying, etc....and because I'm very tired in life right now. ) God must've been smiling at my thoughts...knowing that I was tired because we have another baby on the way. =) Please pray that my sick days don't last too long, for now I'm teaching Noah kindergarten, and helping Kimberly and Sarah with their school work too. It looks like our baby is due at the end of September or first of October, Lord willing. =D And of course there is always little Elijah who is constantly thinking of something else to do. =)

Well, little girl how exciting that our number 17 or is it 18 is on the way! I am sure that God does have a sense of humor for Daddy and I were waiting to hear that you were settled all in and starting your mission work and certainly not expecting this message. But God is in charge of conception and knows just how to help a missionary who is an expectant Mommy shine for Jesus. You can count on our prayers and maybe "some anxious hours" as we stand in support of our favorite missionaries to Colombia! Love, Moma

Congratulations on your BIG news. God knows what He is doing and to whom He allows this special event. May the Father of ALL bless the Dickinsons as they father and mother the coming addition. Love to all Dad/Gramp

~~CONGRATULATIONS HEATHER AND PHILIP~~
We are expecting our sixth little one in the next few weeks and she was a surprise to our family as well!! My maternity clothes weren't in storage, I had just gotten rid of them all b/c we were lead to believe that we would not be able to have anymore. Well... God had other plans!! :-) Wesley is always moving on to the next thing as well, I can completely empathize. I had wanted another little girl, but had just gotten used to the idea of Wesley being our 5th and final. Well, God allowed our 2nd little girl, and now we are anxiously awaiting her arrival. I will be praying for strength for you w/ homeschooling. (I homeschool four of ours as well.) May God bless and strengthen you!!
~Love in Christ,
Tasha

Dear Heather,
So glad that God is blessing you with a new little baby! Congratulations!
I'm also so glad that Sarah is OK! Wow, I know how you felt, because I've had a child that was dying and yes I also would much rather read about it in a book! But God did bless us with his life! And when I read the whole story about Sarah it touch me so much that it brought tears of sadness and then tears of Joy to see how well our Lord Jesus took care of you! I will be praying that God will give you the energy you need. Love, Hannah

Heather - the post on my blog that you commented on was from 6 months ago . . . I don't know why? Yes, we're expecting a little one near the beginning of September . . . and our Heath is just a little older than your youngest - and they look soooo much alike to me! :>) Hope you're finding ways to ease the yuckies . . .I'm feeling better now than I have in the last few weeks - that's a blessing.

Delighted to hear God is blessing our family with another life. God is TRULY the giver of life...ready of not! :)I am believing God that this time of growth for your little one will be one of superb health for you.
I have a friend that had hard deliveries witness a home birth that was extremely easy. Afterwards, my friend walked outside onto the porch, looked up into the heavens and said, "Lord, you are no respecter of persons, would you please give me a delivery like that?" In answer to her prayer, her next child came very easy and fast. This story has always encouraged me, may it do the same for you. God is still no respector of persons and can give you an easy pregnancy and one that you will marvel over. If He chooses not to, then we will KNOW that His ways are higher than ours and trust Him to receive all the glory regardless.
In the meantime, I am praying and trusting our Father for you. Many blessings! So glad you have LOTS of good helpers at your house. This is great training for them also. God doesn't waste any situation. He is giving your precious girls LOTS of hands on training for their future as ladies and perhaps mommies themselves. Meanwhile, aren't they having fun?!! I LOVED taking care of our home, family, and my mom when she was expecting Christa.
Lots of love and excitement! Love, Susan

Heather, Welcome to the club!! We are having a surprise #5 too. (D.D July 2) I am thankfully past the sickoes now though, and I EMPATHIZE with you as you go thru it too! Older children are a help when you have to be on the couch. I know your sweet girls help out a lot. You are a brave lady to tackle all you do. Lord willing ... you will not be sick long! Hugs, Angie

Congratulations on your anticipation of #5. Praying your sickness is short lived and that you can enjoy the excitement of preparing for this additional blessing to the family!
