For those who have been praying for Elijah's ear infections, God is touching Him. He is improving! Thank the Lord, and y'all for praying!

~On October 25th we had a service in Rapid City, SD and got to meet the Woodard family. Our kids enjoyed being with theirs.~~Thank you, Woodards, for the nice stay at your home, the yummy meals, and the use of lots of your water! (Inside joke!) =D It was great meeting y'all!
~The Woodards loaned us their van to drive up and see Mt. Rushmore! You see my Daddy used to pastor in Oelrichs, SD which was only about 70 mins. away from Mt. Rushmore. When Phillip came home with me on our GBS Spring break, he brought me on a picnic and asked me to marry him only 10 mins. from Mt. Rushmore! So, this mountain holds a lot of memories for us! It was fun coming back with our children.~
~We drove around trying to find the exact spot wher he asked me, but due to a time frame we never could find the right place. After we came back to the Woodards, we decided that it must have been on a different road that we would've had to pay to go on. So, we had Kimberly snap this picture of us. If you had a magnifying glass you could see that Mt. Rushmore is in the background just to the left of my shoulder. The peak we and Kimberly were standing on was only a few feet wide, so Kimberly had to get a "fish photo" of us, (a super close photo!) 'cause if she would have backed up any further, she would have fallen over the side. =(
~The neat South Dakota Bad Lands!~
~We let our kids get out and do some climbing on the bad lands, which they thoroughly enjoyed!~
~Little Elijah thought that it wasn't fair 'cause he couldn't climb as high as his brother and sisters. =)~
~It was such a delight to be with the Ron Arnolds and KennethBryants again!~
~We ladies enjoyed a yummy breakfast and coffee out together.~
~Kimberly and Sarah enjoyed seeing Olivia again.~
~My good friends Ashlea, and Clarrisa. (I got to be with their sister Julianna at the tea room in AZ in Sep./Oct.)~
~We held a service at the Faith Missionary Church in Mitchell, SD where Bro. Winfield Poe and his wife are pastoring. It was nice to see them again. We've known them since we were younger.~

WE will be praying for Sarah! You can use other areas of the body such as the upper arm, lower back, abdomen, or thigh, to get blood for glucose monitoring if it would help. The finger tips are very sensitive so it hurts more when you prick them.
Hopefully her results will all come back good!
I know the Bryants and the Arnolds! My hubby went to school with Micah and graduated from Mt. Zion in Mo. and my bro in law is Nathan Bryant, Becky Arnolds bro. from Co.! I stayed at the Bryants house when they where in AZ.
Hope Sarahs tests come back ok. Have a great week!! Can't wait to see pics of your new place in Columbia.
Dad had me read 'Sarah's Ordeal' in church last Sunday. When we first got that e-mail, I printed it out and read it to Dad & I at the supper table. Dad wept, while I read. Aunt Ellen told me she wept while she read it to Uncle Daniel. Sarah has left a pile of weeping people behind in the United States! Ha! (I needed to weep too while I was reading both times, but I knew I couldn't be understood if I wept while I was reading. Smile.)
We are thankful that all ended well, and you arrived safely in Colombia. And, I am delighted to hear Elijah is doing better. I've been terribly worried, hoping & praying he would get better. I was happy to hear your children were 'thrilled walking around and seeing things they had forgotten they had'.
Thank you for your interesting, current, blog posts. Love, Mom D
Just read about Sarah's scary ordeal in the skies...Can't IMAGINE what you all went through! Thanking God with you for Sarah's good outcome that day~~~we will continue to pray for her.
In response to your comment on my blog....Sure wish that you could have come to speak at our ladies meeting...We would have loved it!:)
God bless you and your precious family as you transition back to Columbia. May you feel God's love and care!
I enjoy reading your blog. So sorry to hear about Sarah's ordeal. that would be so, very frightening. Thank the Lord for His touch!
Thank you so much for the recent pictures of Mt. Rushmore. Am greatly relieved that Obama's mug isn't up there...yet!
Heather, this is Susan Hunt. The morning you were flying back, I kept having you guys cross my mind as I tended to my lively guys. I would pray, "oh, Lord, please take care of them wherever they are." Thankfully our God is omnipresent and with you miles above the earth... as well as in this little town tugging on my heart to pray for you! Soooooo grateful for His sustaining help He gave to you throughout the ordeal... and to Sarah. Somehow, moms are always supposed to have the answers, calmness, grace, wisdom, and serenity 24/7!!!! You and I both know "that ain't happen'n"! But after coming through such tense and/or scary situations, we see the hand of God giving us moms just the strength and wisdom we needed at the time...'cause we know it didn't come fom us!
You mentioned in another blog about eating differently. It reminded me of the oatmeal cereal my family loves and is very filling and sustaining throughout the morning. I'll post the recipe on my blog in case you're interested. Sending LOTS of hugs and kisses from our home to yours!
I forgot to leave my blogspot name. It's huntshysterics.blogspot.com
I love you, Susan
