~An answered prayer and some pics~

For some weeks my heart has been soooo hurting with an attack of the enemy. I have been sooo SAD!! God definitely came through when a group of my friends and some of my family from the USA joined me in praying to the Father for my situation. It was only days and the answer was there! PRAISE GOD!
~Our family one Sunday morning at church.~
~Kimberly teaching Sunday school.~
~Phillip preaching in one of our churches.~
~Phillip and Jimmy made a quick trip to Medellin last week to meet up with some pastors there. God gave them some good visits and a good service with these men and with others as they tried to encourage the Christians there.~
~Last Saturday, the kids and I went to see my friend Marisol hoping and praying that she would be home. Praise the Lord...she was home. (You see, her telephone isn't working, and with our busy lives we haven't been able to see each other in a month and a half.) She was able to go to the mall with us for a quick bite of lunch and a nice visit. We bought out lunch at a restaurant, but they do not have tables...so the kids had to sit on the floor.~ =)
~My dear friend Marisol and I. We always have such wonderful visits together visiting about Jesus and what He has done in our lives, our families, what we've been up to, trying to encourage each other Spiritually, etc.~
~Phillip wanted to build Noah and Sarah a sandbox. Poor man, he used to work construction and build rich houses in the USA...so he is used to all the best of tools...but here he has a handsaw, hammer, and a manual screwdriver. (Thankfully, Jimmy loaned him a power tool to make the work easier.) He found the wood on the side of the road, and since he had to saw everything by hand and it was HARD, he didn't make the sandbox very "pretty", but Sarah and Noah are thrilled with the simple sandbox he built for them. He's such a thoughtful Daddy.~
~Daddy working on the sandbox.~
~The sand box is all done...and now there are 2 happy kids. =) When Phillip bought the bag of sand and brought it home...we were surprised to see that it is nearly as red as the mud in Tennessee, where I was raised for the first part of my life.~ =)
While I cannot always tell you of the conflicts that we face here I want you to know that we are in a battle for souls (as are many of you at home, your mission field) and your prayers mean so much!

I don't know what you are going through, but I will be praying for you! We love you and are proud of you and your family. You are such a beautiful and Godly family. I love reading your blog and seeing the work you all are doing for Christ, and how close of a family you are. You seem to have your proirities straight, and that is tough these days! May God bless you and your fellow Christians in Colombia!

Heather
I found this link to your site, from my brother's blog. thedelongs.wordpress.com
Yes, we do remember you. You made a BIG impression on two little girls while you were in Nicaragua. Lydia and I have often talked about you. We played the cassette tape you sent us of your piano playing until it was all messed up. For what it is worth, you were our "model" of christian young womanhood. Blessings,
Joy DeLong

Keep on keeping on! You are in our prayers! We love and appreciate you, your sacrifice for missions, and your DEEP LOVE for Jesus 1st and your family too. My heart is encouraged in Jesus this day... not because of outward circumstances, but b/c of HIS POWER and ABILITIES!! I love you all much! Your sister, Laura

I LOVE your blog postings! I LOVE you guys so much! I HATE it that you have to carry heavy burdens but I realize that is part of the cross of a Christian.
Bob Kamman told us in his office that Colombia is no place to go for a vacation, even if it is pretty there. He scared me so badly with that remark UNTIL, I remembered your e-mail verse - He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most high.... I am trusting in our Heavenly Father's wise judgment to keep you guys safe. Noah looks so happy in the picture where he is watching Phillip cut the wood for his sandbox. Be sure to tell us the names of the men in the picture with Phillip and Jimmy, so we can pray for them. LOVE, Mom D
