~Prayer Needed~

I'm 32 weeks along, but due to the extra fluid that baby is making I'm measuring 40 weeks...which could make me go into labor 7 weeks early. EEEEKKK! I had some pretty heavy duty contractions last evening that scared me. I'm trying to take it easy right now so as not to bring on early labor, and I may not be able to be with Phillip and our children for some of our deputation services. That makes me sad, but I have to do my part to keep baby safely tucked inside until nearer my due date of May 24th. I'm still hoping to come to IHC...but my husband and others are determind that I should use a wheel chair to get around if I come. Can you imagine how mortifying that will be? Oh well, at least I will get to be at IHC, Lord willing. =D So, baby and I would really appreciate your prayers. Thanks!

We will keep you, baby, and all in our prayers, Heather! Hope to see you at IHC. I won't be there until Thursday, but my girls will be with their Uncle Keith and all the Salem folks. Just think about all the attention you'll get, being in a wheelchair! ; )

Be sure to take good care of yourself! It sounds like you are willing to do whatever is best for that baby boy! Good for you!
I hope you are able to come to IHC and people will completely understand if you are in a w/c! (In fact, I wouldn't mind to ride around there myself! My feet always kill me there!) :)

I will be prayin'! The first thought that came to my mind (I don't know why) was for you to put streamers and balloons on the wheelchair. Then you'd get some attention!

I'll be praying for you too. And just think, you and baby will really get attention if you show up in a wheel chair. I agree with Kim (sorry I don't know you Kim) about the streamers and balloons. Live it up girl and have fun. Take care of yourself. God bless.

Hey, it is okay to use the wheelchair! Went shopping in one once when I was on bestrest with my last baby. Just a few more weeks and you will be much safer going into labor... take it easy and I will pray for you and the baby. Would love to see you at IHC, but don't overdo yourself! Love you all!

Forgive all of us old "worry warts" for being too solicitous over you & baby's well-being but you are like an irreplacable treasure that we want to hover over and protect from ALL harm. Thus, all of the well-meaning advice, remarks, and concern is directed towards you. Keep your pretty chin up and remember we love you intensely. Dad & I, along with many others are so very happy you are in the states where it seems you are near to us. I agree heartily with the streamers and helium balloons idea on your wheelchair ;-) Love, Mom & Dad D

Heather, It's so hard to stay down when you have to, but it's worth it!! How developed did they feel the baby was? Timothy was a few days short of 6 wks. early, weighed 6.10 and really was fine. It was such a relief. MAYBE you can go a few wks. early and the little guy still be fine. You may even bring him to IHC - in your arms!! You may still need the wheelchair though!! ;-)
Love,
Angie

Heather,
Although I rarely comment, I love checking your blog, and we have been praying for you and baby (& the rest of your crew!). About the wheelchair at IHC - I'll gladly provide you with a bicycle horn and granny basket! Then you can alert the crowd that you're "comin' through" without sayin' a word, and have a place to stash all the free pens and peppermints that you inherit from the booths!!! LOL!

Our prayers are with you - and really, when I was pregnant with the twins I was on bed-rest for many, many weeks...the wheelchair is a terrible thing, but if it keeps baby safe.... You do what you have to do.

Love to all!

Heather-
You are in our prayers. I do know how you feel as I to had to ride around in wheel chairs with all 3 of my girls( complete bed rest) It can be overwhelming but with a good goal in mind guess it is better than the alternative.. right?? :) Love and prayers to you and the family.

A wheelchair isn't that bad - especially considering the alternative caused by too much activity. I have had to use them during pregnancy and let me tell you, they are nice. You get to do tons of visiting and never get tired! What you do have to watch is that everyone wants to pile their belongings on you since you happen to be seated. My statement was that I would agree to be wheeled around as long as everyone could see I was pregnant! :-) That is not possible when I am holding 12 coats and 15 bags.

Girlie, you take it easy and get that baby to us really healthy. I still think you can go to IHC but the wheelchair may be the better way to go. And everyone will understand.... better than not being able to go. :) If you use the streamers, balloons, granny basket and horn, I HAVE to see a picture. heehee

Miss Heather,
I had to miss out on a family reunion/outing on the lake while pregnant with Leah, so I understand missing out. That reunion probibly will be the last one for all of the Sutherland kids to get together like that. I was really dissapointed when the doctor told me, but the treasure I got for that sacrifice way out weighed my little hurt feelings. I'm praying God blesses you to overflowing.
Love
Aunt Libby
