~Just letting you know what is happening...~

Yesterday baby had his non-stress test and ultrasound and he got a 10 out of 10...in other words he passed the test with flying colors and got a 100%!! Praise the Lord! We got some adorable ultrasound pics (which I wish I had a scanner to show them to you) and our baby already has the cutest chubbiest cheeks!!! Today I went to see my midwife Stacy and I talked to her about being induced at 39 weeks...(only because one of my midwives had mentioned that to me earlier)...and Stacy said that she's not sure what to do. She said that all the midwives and their back up doctors will discuss my baby and I and our situation and decide what is best and try to tell me next week their plans. She said that they for sure don't plan on letting me go over 40 weeks. (Since I had the extra fluid and 4 weeks ago thought that baby could come any time...these last few weeks ahead of me look like MONTHS!!) My blood sugar is looking good (God is helping me to control it with diet and checking my blood 4 times a day) and it looks like the extra fluid surrounding baby has gone down some, which is encouraging. I was sad about possibly not being induced at 39 weeks because I am MISERABLE and because I have no small amount of pressure on me since my in-laws have their tickets to fly in from AZ on my very due date (May 24th)...and I was hoping to have had our baby before they arrived. Also, with them coming in on that date...we have already scheduled our baby's dedication for the last Sunday that they will be here. My midwife said that if baby decides to come early on his own, that they won't do anything to stop him. So, please just help me pray that God will help baby to come when he is supposed to come (I want what's best for baby)...and that I'll have an easy delivery so I can be at his dedication planned for June 1st...one week after my due date! (And please don't leave any discouraging comments...for as Anne of Green Gables would say..."I'm in the depths of dispair!" =) Thanks for your prayers...I need them right now!

Heather,
I will definately be praying for you as the Lord brings you to mind! I can completely understand the miserable part of the last few weeks, as I just had my "not so little boy" about 31/2 months ago weighing in at 9lbs. 9oz. 21 1/2 in. I too was discouraged as they tried to induce me two times (with no sucess) before he finally arrived. It was well worth the wait, and I would do it all over again in a heartbeat! Very soon you will no longer have your 'baby bump', and you'll be holding your sweet bundle of baby boy! I am praying for you, keep encouraged!! :-) Tasha Quakenbush

Great news about your little fella!
I know how you feel. I was 2 weeks overdue, swollen and puffy with Justin. Michael had started a new job so it was important that he not take too long off work. My doc had said she wouldn't let me go that long but did anyway. So I asked if I could be induced (since she had promised I wouldn't go that long) so my hubby wouldn't have to take a bunch of days off work. My doctor said "I'm sorry, but I'm selfish and I'm going on vacation that weekend". Talk about feeling cared for huh?! Needless to say I found a new doc after that.
Thankfully, I went into labor before she could leave for vacation so she stayed long enough to deliver him. God worked it all out. I had my angel on Friday and Hubby didn't have to take a bunch of days off work. God knows where you are and will work it all out!

Awwww Heather! I can so relate to how you feel! I have been there 3 times and getting ready to be the 4th. We had sooo many 'false alarms' with our babies before they were actually born that I began to dread calling in to L&D! Before you know it you will be holding the little guy and all this will be a distant memory! It was great to see you at IHC, too bad that we were not able to talk more ;o( I will hold you in my prayers and anxiously await the news of your birth story! Your due date is my youngest daughters birthday! Hang in there...there is light at the end of the tunnel!;o)

I will pray for you and the baby... the end is almost here! I know you must be sooo uncomfortable. I often would think to myself at the end about just how skinny I would try to get afterward :-) Ha! I am still waiting to get skinny... but, I do feel better! I am excited with you about the soon arrival of your hansome little one!

Heather
So good to read your blog. I am here at Hobe Sound waiting for the birth of the baby of my daughter, Rhoda Grout. I was supposed to fly to California first and then to Pennsylvania and on to FLorida to await the birth, but the midwife said I better get here first as the baby wouldn't wait that long. So I came here first, have been here a week and still no baby. But we shall wait on the Lord's timing and pray that all goes well. God bless you as you await the birth of another precious baby boy. I love you telling everyone not to leave negative comments!! YOU GO GIRL!! I might just have to say the same some time soon!! The pictures are beautiful! I wish I was a pretty pregnant lady, but just not the case. It's not the same with three boys at your belly!(One with a bat, the other with a pump gun, and the other with 12 little cars....little girls make prettier pictures!) Love ya and are praying for you in these last few days...we are in the month now!!

Heather, I'm so sorry you are so miserable. Love the "Anne" comment to pieces. I'm so glad baby is fine. It is amazing the features you can make out in a black and white ultra sound. We were able to tell how long Katie's hair was and how round her little cheeks were from the ultra sound. When she was born she had a lot of hair just like we saw in the ultra sound.

I will be keeping you in my prayers that baby will be good and come when he should...lol. Take care.

Heather~ I EMPATHIZE with you!!! I felt so miserable too. Those last few days are so AWFUL. I have a very funny video of me taking castor oil to try to make Trenton come ... Karen will shoot me for mentioning that ... but I felt SOOOOOO desperate. It worked, by the way. Smile. Jesus also knows just how you feel AND he knows just what you (and the babe) need. I'll pray that you go into labor just as soon as is safe for "little mister"!
Hugs,
Angie

Shame on you Angie! :) (One time we had a pt come in and say she drank the "motor" Castrol Oil!) Can you imagine!? :( If you do decide to try it, just take the right stuff! Although, it isn't doctor recommended!!! My friend took it and went into labor that night!
You can do it Heather! We are all pulling for you!

Heather you are in my prayers. I know how you feel. I know the Lord will be with you. I think of the verse that says, "My grace is sufficient, and my strength is made perfect in weakness." I know you are stretched beyond your limits in more ways than one but God has grace enough to carry you through. Keep encouraged and know that many are lifting you up in prayer. Bev

How I remember in Phoenix and Kimberly would come up to our place for Great Grandma Bryan to read to her Anne of Green Gables. It was classic when she at age six told Grandma Bryan that she knew what it was to be in the "depths of despair". Surely a bit of her sweet Moma coming there. It was such a joy having you with me at the Mother/Daughter Tea. Wasn't it a lovely setting. Praying that baby will wait until his missionary Daddy can go check on his beloved churches in Colombia and gets back home. I love you, Moma
