"Although the fig tree shall not blossom, neither shall fruit be in the vines: the labor of the olive shall fall, and the fields shall yield no meat; the flock shall be cut off from the fold, and there shall be no herd in the stalls:
YET I WILL REJOICE IN THE LORD, I will JOY in the God of my Salvation!!!"
The person that sent it to me said,
"WOW! That is a total wipe out, isn't it? And yet the winter still REJOICES IN THE LORD!!!"
Sometimes, it's easy to be discouraged or complain over the smallest things, but I want to learn to REJOICE IN THE LORD at all times!!~
In case you missed it, I posted about Mary's birthday HERE.
Here's a little of what has been going on in our lives. We have been happy serving the Lord, homeschooling, potty-training, doing a mission's service, going to our Christian Nation Church Congress, baking, loving, being a nurse to Mary and Abigail, and being a family.~Enjoying a cup of hot tea in tea cup I got in LA.~
~Mary and Abigail had a cough that never wanted to go away, so A. Laura sent them a treat.~
~Saturday, Sept. 17th was our Christian Nation Church Congress (Ministerial.)
We enjoyed meeting up with the Flings (who are back from Peru for a few weeks, 'cause Michele had to have knee surgery) and riding together and having breakfast on the way to Congress.~
~It was a neat old Denny's.~
~Some Dear Godly men are our leaders. God's presence was so close and so near during this Congress. ~
~Our director giving the Global Holiness Missions report.~
~Our dear Music director and family singing an encouraging song.~
~Our family was asked to sing. (Kimberly had stayed at home with the 3 youngest which were not feeling well that weekend.)~
~Homemade sliders I made for our family one evening.~
~Daddy getting snuggles from his kiddies.~
~Sarah and I took Darla out to Coffee Emporium for a late birthday gift.~
~Aunt Carole and Jane were in town for Aunt Carole's 50th Class Reunion from Christ Hospital. A. Carole took us out to Skyline Chili for lunch.~
~A Pumpkin Latte ...yummy! (And by the way, I'm soon to be a "perfect 43.:-) ~
~Homeschooling with Elijah is going good. (It's going good with the rest too, but I don't help them much. Kimberly is teaching Mary 1st grade this year.) ~
~Enjoying some Chinese tea from our dear friends Leo and Caro, and the pretty tea pot from A. Yoli.~
~Corn bread and beans for supper one night.~
~One Saturday we cleaned out our basement. We unpacked bins from Deputations back in 2008, 2010, etc. and suitcases from Costa Rica and Colombia (that were full of decorations and souvenirs.)~
~Sis. Richmond from church sent Mary and Abigail a balloon 'cause they had a cough.~
~Laura baked a yummy pie and sent it over for Phillip's birthday.~
~A Cherry pie that Mary helped me make. She did the crimping around the top.~
~Abigail sneaking Cherry pie, while my back was turned.~
~I made some Strawberry Freezer jam.~
~Last Tuesday night we had the privilege of having Bryon and Michele, and Sammy Fling over for a simple supper.
I enjoyed setting a Fun Fall table.~
~I made Tortilla soup, Cheese Quesadillas, served a big green salad, and then Michele made a yummy pumpkin dessert, and I served Apples and my caramel dip.~
~The kids were happy to see Sammy again, and I think he enjoyed seeing them too.~
~That evening Michele Probst from our church had an organ recital. She did a beautiful job. ~
~Our niece Brittany and Michele playing together. Jesus really helped them both.~
~On the way to our mission's service at the Justice in Zainesville. Abigail is getting kisses from her big brothers.~
