~Prayers Needed~

I'm not usually an "Eeyore" (Eeyore is an unbelievably loveable donkey who is dismally gloomy for almost eternity =) but I'm needing your prayers! It's spring in Argentina and every bloomin' thing here has my allergies going CrAzy! My eyes are so swollen and blood shot and are itching me to death and I'm sneezing a lot!
I'm also fighting a serious infection.  Up until today I was told there was no medicine I could take since I'm a nursing mother.   But, today I was able to get some Benadryl, and am PRAYING it helps me kick this!
If I cross your mind, could please breathe a prayer for me that Jesus will give me a special touch.  It's hard for our home to keep going without Mommy.  I've trained my girls so that they could run our house...but I hate for them to quit their schoolwork to help me.  Thanks for your prayers...I'm hoping to report that I'm as "good as new" soon.  =)

Just in case you didn't know, Benadryl tends to lower milk supply in nursing moms. Just be careful!

Sending prayers to Jesus and warm thoughts of healing to you from Lima!
Because of allergy and sinus issues, I often had to take some meds while nursing. No choice. I found that God will take care of my kids while I'm trying to get myself well for them.
Don't be too hard on yourself for all of this...and get better soon!
Much love!

Heather, both Claritin (Loratadine) and Allegra (Fexofenadine) are considered safe in the usual doses for breast feeding. As with Benadryl (and most any antihistamine), decreased supply can be a concern because it "dries you up" in more places than just your sinuses. You can often off-set this by hydration and frequent feeds.

I enjoy your blog and read most all your posts. Thanks for keeping us up-dated to the events of your life. I look for Kimberly in the photos since she has a special place in my memories (not that she would remember me!)
