~I had a Happy Birthday~

Thank y'all for all your sweet Happy Birthday wishes...I had a special day with my family and friends.
Look what Michael and Beth "gave" me for my birthday... Little Sophia Lynnette Dickinson was born at 2:58pm on MY birthday. =) 8lb7oz, 20 1/2 long. Praise the Lord that she arrived safely! And now...little Sophia and I get to share our special day for many years to come. Congrats to Michael and Beth!!
~Kimberly and Sarah got up early, dressed in matching in colors and got everything ready for my birthday. They were determind that I HAD to have balloons, so they blew them up for me. =) They made me nice cards and gave me sweet gifts too. What sweet girls we have.~
~Noah and a smiling Elijah with their coordinating clothes.~
~I invited my friend Marisol to come and eat Skyline chili with our family for my birthday. She gave me a nice birthday gift of a special shampoo, a nice hair barrette and a neat bag of Colombian coffee candy.~~Yummy Skyline chili...minus the 1" of yummy cheddar cheese. But since we cannot get cheddar cheese here we didn't want to use up too much of the cheddar cheese that my parents' church just sent us. =) ~
~Enjoying our Skyline chili and our delicious fresh mango juice to drink. We had a nice time visiting with Marisol.~
~A picture with me and my gifts and a slice of the ice cream cake that Phillip bought so I wouldn't have to make my own birthday cake. =)~
~Kimberly tried to take a picture of me with my gifts. My parents gave me a neat set of Coca Cola trucks for my Coke collection. Noah is confused, and thinks that those trucks should be His. =D~
~In the morning of my birthday, Jimmy and Farly called me from their ACE school to wish me Happy Birthday and had all of the students say and sing Happy Birthday to me over the phone. Then later in the afternoon they came by and gave me this beautiful pink sweater shell, and purple sweater. Gracias, Hermano Jimmy y Hermana Farly.~
~Dad and Mom D. sent me money and I got some black boots with that money. Thank you, Dad and Mom!! Last year I used their money to get me some brown boots. Since it is chilly here, most of the ladies wear boots. Also, since we do A LOT of walking, boots are comfortable to walk in. So I'm happy to have both black and brown boots now.~
~I asked Phillip if I could have a square table to put in Noah's room so I can just scrapbook whenever I want. I used to have to DRAG all of my stuff downstairs and make a mess in my dinning room. I'm happy to have my little scrapbooking space there, for all of my stuff is in Noah's room too.~
~My Sweetheart gave me this nice electronic Spanish/English dictionary!! I already am enjoying using it. (He has been looking for a certain one for a long time, and so I asked him when he got a new one, if I could have this one. God helped him to find the model of dictionary that he was needing...so I got his. =)~
~I asked our friend John to make me this sign. Phillip and I translated the phrase, "In My Father's house are many mansions, I hope yours is beside mine" into Spanish. He carved this out and wrote that saying on there for me for my birthday. I love it. Gracias, Hermano Juan.~
I had a happy day, and am blest to have a dear family and friends like y'all and my Colombian friends to help me celebrate my special day. =)

As you can tell I'm still learning how to post a comment. I like those flowers you got. And that's so cool that they're so cheap. I love your B-day pix, you look so nice in pink and your whole out fit is so cute! I'm so glad your one happy Mother, too! Love, Hannah

Happy Birthday! What a wonderful day it was for you. Last year Tom threw me a surprise on my 30th. He was so cute how he organized the whole thing. Anyways, since we don't attend any church here of our denomination(b/c there is none) could you e-mail me your contact info. How we can send things and things you usually love and need. For everyone. Since we both have kids somewhat around the same age I think this would be a good homeschool project. Also can our girls e-mail each other. My oldest wants to be a missionary to China. I think this would be a wonderful way to see what it's like. My grandparents were missionaries to Africa for 16 years so we have heard lots of fun, wonderful and interesting stories. Thanks,
Kendra Miller

Happy Belated B-day!! I finally started a blog.. not sure I'll be able to keep up on it, at this point, but I thought I'd give it a whirl... to see how it worked and if I liked it.

Drop a line! :)

A belated Happy Birthday to you, Heather. I'm so glad your family and friends were so thoughtful as I know you do so much for others along the same line. You're a special person and I'm glad God made you who you are. Your girls seem to be growing up along the same vein as you, and I love to see examples of them mirroring their mother in their looks and actions.

Love,
Aunt Ellen
