~Happy Birthday, Sweetheart Phillip~

~Sorry for re-posting this pic, but I think it's a fun pic of us. :-)~

(It looks like he got a lot, but they are SIMPLE gifts, bought with love. :-) ~

 ~Phillip used his birthday money to buy this nice tea pot to use with his Argentine tea called Mate.~

 ~Last night we had a fun English class.
We played Taboo,  where we had to describe words using other words to our team players.  It was GOOD English practice.
Afterwards we played Gestures, and acted out some words.
We missed Aunt Caro who was away visiting her parents.
(Excuse the pink and white decor left over from Abigail's birthday, I have another little girl's birthday coming up soon, so don't want to take it down. :-) ~

 Phillip and the kids made some of what our family calls "Paper Toilets."  :-)
They watched a video by a man from Russia explaining how to put a roll of paper toilet (Toilet paper :-)  into a can (removing the card board tube from the Toilet paper first,)
then pour alcohol over the toilet paper and it makes a nice little contained fire.
The man accidentally called it "PAPER TOILET" instead of Toilet paper, which made us smile.  Our family has learned another language (and we still make lots of mistakes speaking it) so we could identify. :-)

So, we now call these "Paper Toilets!" :-)  Here's their first paper toilet!~

 ~The kids love this, and it gives a perfect little "Country feeling contained fire"... in the middle of the city. :-)

 ~After our games we went outside to our 3 "Paper toilets" and roasted Marshmallows.

 ~When it comes to Birthday cake, Phillip is an easy man to please.
He wants jello cake with pudding on top. :-)
(He wouldn't mind one of my apple pies, if I can ever find the energy to make one.
I think I'll have to wait until Abigail GRADUATES from Highschool first...so I can catch up on my sleep. Lol!)

 ~As I've told you before, Dear little Abigail does NOT think that nights are for sleeping.;-)
We've tried nearly everything we know of, and she still wakes up from 1 to 3 times a night, and sometimes is awake for 2 hours!
Phillip often gets up with her and takes her downstairs and walks and prays with her, so that I can get some more sleep!

So saying that, Here's the Sweet note that Kimberly wrote last night and left for Daddy to see this morning.

"Happy Birthday, Daddy!
Daddy, if it's after 7:30, please wake me up! I'll take the boys to lessons (guitar) today and you SLEEP IN!!
I don't want to lose my Daddy to a Heartattack or something 'cause He never got any sleep!  HaHaHa!  Ahem!  Abigail! :-)

Thank you, Dear Daddy, for being such a WONDERFUL Daddy! Thank you for loving Jesus all these years and putting Him first in your lives and in our home! Thank you for loving sweet Moma next (your sweetheart for nearly 54 years now :-) and for being such a loving husband to her! And Thank you for loving E Andrew Bryan II, Lincoln-Lyn Bryan, Laura, and me, your baby! :-) And Thank you for opening up your heart a little more to Love all of our mates! And then...somehow...you still have found space in your heart for 18 Grandkids born to our family...and Keith's wife sweet Natalie. 

Thank you for being a man of studying God's Word and Prayer! Many were the times that I have gotten up in the middle of the night for some reason and have seen you praying in the living room. Thank you for always being there for us. I have full confidence that I can pick up the phone at any time and call you and talk to you about what is on my heart and you will take the time to listen, cry with me if I'm crying, and I love it that you always pray with me over the phone right then!
I know, I can hear you saying that you are not perfect, none of us are, but I THANK JESUS for giving me a NEARLY perfect Daddy! :-)

~Our family feels sooooo blessed that Jesus sent us Kimberly years ago and then 6 years later God sent us our Noah on the VERY SAME DAY.~

~On the right was a yummy spinach salad with fruit, and the bowl on the right has a salsa for the potatoes.  So delicious!~

~We were in an apt. on the 11th floor, and I took pictures of Kimberly and Nataly WAY down there walking toward the apts. to come to where we were.~

~We love these Colombian people and they have opened up their hearts and arms and love us too!~

~Pastor Jimmy's uncle and aunt showed up and brought gifts to Kimberly and Noah on their birthday.~

~And they bought 2 pretty dresses, some cute little red boots and little red shoes for Abigail.~

~I got an ice cream cake on sale for Kimberly and Noah!  It was yummy, and for buying the cake, I got napkins, plates, and spoons for free.  :-) ~

~Happy Birthday, Moma, and our 4th of July!~

We're in PA right now, so I posted this post with one of my friends, Miriam, by my side.  It was fun having her and her sisters Esther and Mary looking over my shoulder as I blogged.  =)
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
~On Monday and Tuesday, July 8th and 9th, our family got to go over to Daddy and Moma's house.
Moma turned 71...and we got to be with her for those couple days before her birthday.   The day before her birthday I quickly ran to a store and bought a cheesecake and we celebrated...in the midst of helping Daddy and Moma pack!
We had a wonderful couple days together!  We love you tons, Daddy and Moma!~

 ~As you knew we were hurrying back from AZ to go camping over 4th of July with my sister and her family.  Well...then we heard that it was going to RAIN!!!! most of the week.  

So, we decided to stay at home, but still be together with the Hausmans...like we were camping.  We unpacked, organized our basement, etc., but still got to spend lots of F.U.N. time with the Hausmans! We also ate all our meals together for those few days.    =)

 ~In the midst of that week there were things and boxes, suitcases, etc. sitting all over my house while we tried to unpack, and then repack to head out again. 
(The gray bench is the church van back seat that we took out so we'd have extra room while traveling out west!)
So, this sign that I just bought at a thrift store was my inspiration.

~We got home Wednesday evening...on the 3rd of July.  Daryl and Laura had us over to their house for a yummy taco salad supper and we had a blast being together again with their familhy after 2 months of us being out west on deputation!  Then next morning we had a yummy breakfast and supper over at their house too.~

~But, I HAD to at least make a 4th of July table in our house...to help my heart.  ~

~Since we were out west and driving home, Laura went shopping and got all the groceries for our "camping trip."  Then when we got back home we paid for our half.  We had some very yummy meals and a VERY FUN few days together with Daryl and Laura and family.  Brittany said, "This has been so fun, it's felt like Christmas!" and I said, "That's EXACTLY what I wanted it to feel like!"  =)
One morning Laura gave me the ingredients to make breakfast burritos and I made and served them at our house.
I used my new galivinized bucket and wrote a paper saying, "Happy 4th!" and Laura added some red, white, and blue star marshmallows for our hot chocolate.  Yes, you read that right.  It was rainy outside and sort of chilly, so I served a choice of hot chocolate or coffee for breakfast.~
