Yesterday when I saw my midwife...she said that instead of my measuring 31 1/2 weeks...I was measuring 39 weeks! I knew my dates were right, but she said that my measuring big could mean: 1. that I had twins, 2. I was due next week, or 3. that I had extra fluid. So, she scheduled me for an ultrasound today, and I just got back from having one. The ultrasound confirmed my feelings
...~WE ARE HAVING A BOY, AND I'M ONLY HAVING ONE~!!!! Noah is DELIGHTED!! After he found out that our baby was a boy...He stood beside me while I was having the ultrasound and asked, "It's a HE for ME...and we get to take him Home?" =) The ultrasound revealed that I'm still due when I thought I was...May 24th or 25th...but that baby is making extra fluid. Baby tested to be just fine, and they are planning to do non-stress tests on him twice a week, just to keep an eye on things. The doctor said most of the time extra fluid does not mean problems, which was comforting to hear. Baby and I would appreciate prayers that God will give us the strength to do the deputation services that we need to do in the next few weeks. We are heading out to have our first service tomorrow evening in North Carolina. Since it is the furthest service away we scheduled it for this first week, so we could get it done before I get any further along. Also, I'm getting so uncomfortable...that I don't know how my baby bump can get any bigger...I think I will just pop. It would be nice if the extra fluid would go away on it's own, which they said doesn't happen often...but God is able! Thanks for your prayers!

Love you all

That's great news, Heather! I had extra fluid with Ashlee and I felt huge!! They said there was nothing to worry about and the only drawback really was when my water broke there would be LOTS of it....and they weren't joking!
That is neat that Noah will have a play mate. God is good. Take care of yourself now :-)
Such exciting news!!!!!!!I am happy for all of you....especially Noah! Congratulations! (Just take extra towels with you at all times in case your water breaks! ha!) Looking forward to seeing you...
Congratulations! I thought that it was a boy. I am glad you made it home safely. You were in my thoughts and prayers that day.
Congradulations on a boy! I will have to count and see how many great grandsons that makes Grandmother. Grandaddy would be so pleased!
Heather I am so excited for your family! Noah will have so much fun!
Heather,
So excited for you...there is nothing quite like seeing brothers play together!
I am glad you are safe and sound in the USA...hope you can take it easy! If you get to Idaho, be sure to look us up!!!
Congratulations!
Julie
Yipee! How exciting for you to have found out what this little one is! I'm glad the problems are not a risk to you (just the fear of your tummy popping :)) or the baby. God will carry you through these services. And it's a comfort to know that nothing is put upon us that we cannot bear. That said, you must be one tough girl with all you've got ahead these next few weeks! :)
Lord willing we'll be seeing you soon. TTYL!
I'll never understand how some couples manage to get two of each sex. We never figured that one out. Congratulations! There is something extra special about little boys to their Mommies. Believe me, I should know.
I am so happy for you all - especially Noah! He is going to have so much fun!
Glad that everything is going good and pray you will have the strength and energy to hang in there through your services - I know you can do it - you are a "superwoman" :-) :-)
Congrats on your 'boy' news! God's blessings on your poor soul as you drag that big fellow around. Aren't you glad it isn't summer and hot?!
Congratulations on your "one baby boy!" How neat that you will have two of each and that your girls are close in age and the two boys will be close in age.
Good luck in your deputation services these next few weeks! I will be thinking of you!!
Heather, it is so good to know that we have doctor's and all. If we didn't wouldn't we really worry?
When I had my last one, I held fluids too. But one of the good things is when she was born, I lost 60 pounds, she weighed in at 8 pounds and 1oz. So there you go. I don't know what it was to have any boys. I had just 3 girls but my daughter Ruth had 3 boys go figure. Anyway take care of your self. We will be waiting for that announcement.
Good for ya'll...and Noah!:) My vote is that you send Philip out on his own and just lay back eating leftover Easter candy!:)
Congratulations! How exciting! I will pray for you. Can't imagine traveling so far, being so great with child! Hope to see you all at IHC... or, maybe baby will come a little bit early and relieve you. You're such a small lady, you must feel terribly uncomfortable! That is so nice that Noah will have a brother to play with! Love you all!
Congratulations, Heather. I am so happy for you that it is another boy. Lv...
That is SO exciting! A brother for Noah! (and your girls, of course) I'm glad you and baby are fine and we'll be praying for strength as you undertake your deputation assignment.
Love to you all!
Melodie and family
Congratulations! How exciting that you are having a boy. Noah will love it. Praying for a safe deputation and delivery for you when the time comes.
Love You all!
Connie
Congratulations on your ONE!!! I was hoping you could have a boy. There's just something about boys that keeps us humbled!! :) I will pray that God will give you strength to travel.
I still think it is twins!!! :) I think one is lying in front of the other. That would explain the extra fluid as well.
Whatever the case, we will know soon enough...and you will be thrilled either way!!! And so will we!!
Congratulations, on your little boy. I'm sure Noah will love having a little brother. Will be praying for you and your family.
I am so glad you all made it safely home. Congratulations on the baby boy! I think maybe a little boy's prayers were answered! Hope to get to see you. Take care. I, too, had too much fluid and what they are saying is very true -- supply your midwife with an umbrella! I'll say no more...
How exciting! (I think I guessed a boy.)
Heather, I am so glad everything is alright with you and the baby! You take care of yourself. You have been and will be in my prayers.~Lydia
Congratulations on the boy! I am glad that everything is okay with you and baby :-) I am sure it is a relief to know you are back in the States safe and sound.
I don't know what the diaper situation is in Colombia but if you are interested in any information on cloth diapers to take back, email me. There is a lot of options out there besides pins and disposables! We use cloth about 3/4 of the time.
Blessings!
Misty
