~My Happy Mother's Day~

I had a fun Mother's day!
~Here is a picture of our 6 wonderful blessings (from Jesus) and I!~

~Right before we left for Uruguay I saw this cute little tray! I loved it!  I thought it was fun that it looked OLD!  My Sweetheart bought it for me....~

~Then while in Uruguay I found this egg holder that nearly matches one of the egg holders on this tray. :-) ~

~For a special Mother's day breakfast (on Saturday morning) Sarah helped me make French Toast Roll-ups for breakfast!~

~I saw this recipe for French Toast roll-ups on FB and decided to try it.  We really enjoyed them.~

~We filled ours with P.Butter, OR cream cheese, OR Dulce de leche.  My favorite was cream cheese.  (And so we didn't have a sugar overload, we did not dip them in syrup, and we had a boiled egg with these. :-) ~

~A few days ago Phillip had written this verse on my chalkboard.~

~For Mother's day, we cut out the letters to spell "Mom" to hang.
I didn't want to erase his verse, so just hung them over it.~

~It appears that while here on earth, I may never get to meet Dear U. Charlie's Mom, who is older and lives far away from Argentina.
But, one day when she and I are in Heaven, I plan to hug her and THANK HER for alllll HER things that I got the privilege of using while living in her lovely home here in Argentina!  :-)
For Mother's day, I enjoyed setting this table with her pretty china.~

~I made 8 loaves of French Bread to pass out to 8 of my special friends / Mothers at the Chinese church on Sunday.~

~My gray skirt was one of my Mother's day gifts.  It's turning fall and chilly here, so it's tights and boot weather! Fall is my favorite Season, so I'm loving it. :-) ~

~On Saturday, I asked Phillip to buy us a simple dessert for us to enjoy on Sunday. :-) ~

~He found these choc. muffins and they were yummy...

~We enjoyed them with coffee on Sunday afternoon!~

~The youngest of our 6 bundles of Joy! ~

~She is so hilarious, she cracks us up and makes us squeal with happiness all the time!~

~I love her little Winnie the Pooh outfit that came from the Cramers.  ~

~Elijah LOVES Abigail to pieces!  The older she gets, I think they might be from the SAME MOLD! :-D ~

~Sunday evening, we had a nice Bible Study with Fernando and his family.  They almost couldn't come, for their car had trouble, but they were able to come on his motorcycle.
Fernando had heard the song, "No One ever cared for me like Jesus" in English and had liked it!  We found it in Spanish and were able to teach it to them Sunday night.~

~Then we shared our Mother's day supper with them.~

~Jello was our appetizer, and then THANKS TO THE STAMPERS, I served Skyline chili, lemonade and my French bread.  Mariela brought a yummy cake for dessert.~

~Their family, all ready to head home...with Phillip, Elijah, and Noah standing with them.  We thank the Lord for this precious family who wants all of God they can get!~

~Mary and Elijah made these BANNERS for me for Mother's day and then taped them on our bedroom door. :-) ~

~Noah and Elijah made up these little "chore boxes."  They wrote down some chores on some small papers, placed them in these boxes, and told me that whenever I want I can pull out a chore and they will do it! :-)  So cute!~

~Kimberly and Sarah went shopping for Mommy and these are the FUN things they bought me.  This cute glass Milk jar, this candle that smells SO GOOD and like Fall...(my favorite season), and this Adorable little sign that says, "Amor!" (Love!) ~

I got another little gift I'm anxious to show you, but I'll save that for later!  :-)

~My Happy Mother's Day~

 Due to Elijah's birthday posts, I'm just now posting about my Mother's day. =)

Jesus and our missionary life have us in a new country, and it's fun to learn the European traditions here in Argentina. 
Recently, our friends from our church in the US, Bro. and Sis. Jowers visited the only tea plantation in the US in S. Carolina.
They sent me the following info and cute picture!

Hi Heather, 
Thought this was interesting...we visited the only tea plantation in the United States. It is in Charleston, SC. 
They told us that most of the tea that is imported to the US comes from Argentina. 
Here is a photo I took on their plantation saying: that the next closet tea plantations are in Argentina 4,823 miles, and in Turkey 5,630 miles.  =)

Here in Argentina in the main grocery stores, there is nearly a WHOLE grocery aisle dedicated to "teas."   Argentine teas, oriental teas, Argentine Mate, etc.
And interestingly enough most if not all stores are opened in the morning until 1:30 or so, THEN CLOSE SEVERAL HOURS FOR "TEA" ("Tea" of course meaning a luncheon along with their hot tea).
Then the stores open back up at 4:30 or so until 7:00 or 8:00 P.M., after which they close for the night and go eat SUPPER. 

God not only has us learning the European/Argentine culture, but the CHINESE culture as well. =) 
So, now we have learned to drink, serve, and enjoy "Chinese tea" which is hot green tea made from tea leaves, and served in little tiny cups, no sugar added. =)

~I had seen this Adorable wooden tea box with French writing on it in a knick-knack store, but the price the lady gave me was a little spendy, so I walked away.  =(
3 weeks later, Phillip and I were back in that same store and the price on my cute little tea box was GREATLY reduced!!  
I was SO HAPPY that Phillip bought it for me for my Mother's day gift.~

 ~I love choosing each new tea bag out of my little wooden tea box. =)~

 ~These French words on my box are similar to Spanish...so it says something like, 
"The teas of the world." =) ~

There are lots of tea shops here in Argentina, with fun pastries and scones as well. =)
If you haven't noticed by now I love teas, coffees (but can't drink it right now), and pastries.  
I just LOVE to go to tea rooms and enjoy a pastry and tea! 
I also LOVE to make fun pastries and tea at home for my family!  =)

(Since it's turning CHILLY here, I wore a knit top under my dressy blouse, to keep me from FREEZING that day...although I nearly did. =) ~

 ~And we Mother's received these cute little magnetic note pads at church....to put on our refrigerators. =) ~

 ~Since we eat Sunday dinner at the Chinese church...After our family snack that Sunday evening, I served a simple Flan dessert (that I made out of a package and put in my little white tea cups =), and served store bought cookies as a little treat to my family. 
(I was too tired that Saturday to make homemade desserts. =) ~

 ~I love these tiny spoons that go with my little white tea cups and saucers that Phillip bought for me the first time we were in Argentina. ~

 ~Some love notes, coins and "art" the kids gave/made me. =)  
There are 2 refrigerators in this house.  Since baby and I eat LOTS of fresh veggies, having an extra 'fridge to keep them in is SUCH A BLESSING.
When I got up the Monday morning after Mother's day, Kimberly was cleaning both refrigerators as my Mother's day gift.  =) 

Thank you, Jesus, for the privilege of being a Mommy.  I wouldn't trade it for the world.

God in his infinite wisdom

Came up with a great plan.

He decided to let us Ladies...

Become the "Mother of Man!"

He forms a tiny baby

inside of our womb...

Oh, the MIRACLE as they grow

in their "Womb Room."  =)

God places in our hearts

A love which I can't describe

When once we hold our new one

and hear its first cry!

And from then on our Love

 for this child grows and GROWS!

The sweetness of this bond

Only a Mother knows!

What a privilege to care for

this tiny being,

Who totally depends on ME

to do everything.

And with God's help FORM

this little life for Heaven above,

And guide his feet to walk

in the paths of God's Love!

I wouldn't trade being a Mommy

for anything you see...

and I'm VERY BLESSED with

the 6 "kids" God has given me!   =)

I have wanted to be a wife and Mommy since I was 3!!!  I well remember playing with my baby dolls and taking OH SUCH GOOD CARE OF THEM...dreaming of the day (far away) that I would hold my VERY OWN REAL BABY!  =)

I do NOT take it for granted that God saw fit to BLESS me by making me a Mommy...when He sent us our very first little dolly back in 1998. (And we count the other 5 that He has sent us JUST AS SPECIAL! =)
I'll never forget the tears that filled my eyes as I held Kimberly's perfectly formed fingers in mine and looked into her VERY BLUE EYES for the first time!
WOW!  What a God that can make such a sweet "miniature person" that we call a BABY!
Having been an aunt since I was 16, while in the hospital taking care of our baby Kimberly I caught myself saying,
"Don't cry...it's OK, AUNT HEATHER..." and then I stopped...and said, "OOPS! I mean M.O.M.M.Y. is right here!"  =)
But as I wrote in my Mother's day card to my Moma...I'm SURE that I would never have spent all that time dreaming of being a wife and Mommy...had I not had SUCH A WONDERFUL EXAMPLE whom I call "Moma" to make me long to fulfill that dream!
Because she LOVED Jesus and taught me to do so, and LOVED, FLIRTED WITH (and still does!!! =), and respected my Daddy, and because of her patience and love in raising Andrew, Lincoln, Laura, and I...she made Wifehood and Motherhood look so GRAND...it put in me a desire to walk in her foot steps. =) I have 3 (soon to be 4) girls WATCHING ME...I trust that Jesus helps me to be the good example that my Moma has been / is to me!
What a DEAR Moma God gave me!
I love you, Moma, and though I'm far away today, I wish you a VERY HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!!

God has also blessed my life with a dear Mother-in-love.  I love Mom D. just as if she were my very own Mom...Wait...she is...she became so back in June 1995.  =)
She and Dad D. did a CRACK BANG JOB raising their son...whom I call my sweetheart!
No man (or lady) is perfect, but my Phillip is as near perfect as one could get!  =)  I love him more each year!
I love you, Mom D. and I trust that you have a Very Happy Mother's day!!
