~OUR WELCOME HOME GIFTS...WHEN WE GOT BACK FROM ARGENTINA!!~

But first...Let's...
~LOOK BACK!~
2004 found our family leaving Phillip's pastorate in AZ., and doing 8 months of deputation.
May 2005 found us moving to Costa Rica for 1 year of INTENSE Spanish study.
June 2006 found us moving to Bogota, Colombia to begin nearly 8 years of ministry there. (2006-2013)
2011 found us moving to Argentina (While we were still working in and out of Colombia) and working for Jesus there for 5 months.
2012 we were back in Colombia.
2013 found us closing our chapter of having a HOME in Colombia, and coming home for deputation. (We have told our Colombia people we are "married to them for life" and will continue to PRAY for, and minister to/with them!)
2014 found us going to minister in Argentina for 6 months, then coming home to have baby Abigail.
Dec. 2014 we spent one month back with our Dear people in Colombia, on our way back to Argentina.
2015 marked our 10th Anniversary
of being MISSIONARIES!
2015 found us spending nearly a year ministering back in Argentina once again.
Dec. 18th, 2015 found us coming back to the U.S.A. from South America, but to continue working as full-time missionaries with our mission.
With our Children's age, we have been planning for years to come back at this time.
We remain under appointment with Global Holiness Mission to continue serving Colombia and Argentina.
We will be making trips to teach, preach, and disciple the nationals on the fields.
Now that we are serving our people with missions trips from out of the States, we will also be ministering via digital and written ministry in Spanish and English for those that are on the field. We so appreciate all of y'all's prayers for us! None of this would be possible if it weren't for a team effort of you and others like you. God has been doing great things, let's ask and expect more from Him!
A Missions trip is planned for March!
Phillip and Kimberly and our Ass. pastor Paul Pilmore, and his kids Zack, and Anna are headed to minister to our beloved people in 3 different cities in Colombia, and in the Christian School in Paraiso IN MARCH!
PLEASE PRAY FOR THIS ENDEAVOR!
THANK YOU!

For some time we have needed to finish the soffit and fascia around the top of our house.  We got a new roof, but haven't gotten the soffit and fascia done yet.
While we were gone to Argentina,
a DEAR SQUIRREL FAMILY MOVED INTO OUR HOUSE,
through a HOLE in our fascia and soffit!! :-(
Growing up I loved this book, Miss Suzie!
If you've never read the book, Miss Suzie is a lovely little ol' squirrel who gets run out of her house in the tip top branches of a tree by some other bad squirrels, and she has to go find a new home.
It begins to rain, and Miss Suzie quickly seeks shelter in the attic of an old house!
She finds it a delightful little place, and begins to live there.
SUCH A LOVELY STORY...
UNTIL IT'S Y.O.U.R. OLD HOUSE THAT MISS SUZIE THE SQUIRREL
AND HER FAMILY MOVE INTO!!!  :-(
When My sister told me about the squirrels, I thought I would DIE!
Thankfully, Daryl borrowed a squirrel trap and was able to catch the squirrels, and also put out some kind of something around our house....that keeps wild animals away.
Then Dear Dave K. came over and closed up the hole where the squirrels were getting in!
It's sort of hard to see, but here's the hole before...~
~And here it is after Dave K. "attacked it." :-) ~
~For years my dear sister Laura and her family have been A HUGE BLESSING.
Each time we were coming back from the mission field, they would get our house all ready for us.
THIS TIME...with 6 squirrels having been in our house, and with our having a BABY who still crawls / walks around, Laura knew she would need LOTS of help to THOROUGHLY clean our house!!
LAURA WANTED TO WASH EVERYTHING TO MAKE SURE IT WAS SQUIRREL-GERM-FREE!
So several from our DEAR Christian Nation Church took home our bed linens to wash, our towels to wash, blankets, pillows, etc!
And others came and helped shampoo carpets, shampoo furniture, dust, vacuum, clean bathrooms, wash all my dishes, utensils, wash off furniture, ETC., ETC., ETC.!!!
Still others gave money or bought groceries to help fill our 'fridge, cabinets, and freezer!
LAURA AND HER DEAR CREW WORKED THEIR HEADS OFF Cleaning our house from the top to the bottom!!!
We will ALWAYS BE INDEBTED TO LAURA AND OUR DEAR CHRISTIAN NATION CHURCH!!!!
There's NO WAY I would have had the energy to clean all the house, plus do all the unpacking and organizing!!
THANK YOU TONS, LAURA, AND OUR DEAR CHRISTIAN NATION CHURCH FAMILY!!!!!
~One day when Phillip was redoing our 2nd floor bathroom, Phillip was in Lowe's and he found a beautiful fiberglass claw foot bath tub that had been dropped off the truck and cracked!!!
He got the damaged clawfoot tub for a song (compared to new prices,) with plans of getting a company to come in and fix it.
However, the companies he called, WOULD NOT TOUCH IT!!
So, since our lives have been filled with Working for Jesus in other countries, Phillip had not had time to try to fix the tub himself.
Just before we came home...
Bro. Mark (our mission director) put Steve Mills up to the challenge of FIXING our damaged bathtub to surprise us.
SURPRISE US, HE DID!!!
~As you can see from this pic, Mr. Steve did a GREAT job!
I'm so HAPPY to have a pretty tub.~

~A handy little rack for our tub I found in Goodwill.~

~And just because...here's a pic of a little more of our bathroom.
I still LOVE my sign that Kimberly made me that says:
"Peace is not the Absence of Trouble, but the Presence of CHRIST!"~
~Bro. Mark is an excellent Electrician.
When we left for Argentina, all our lights were just the cable...and a light bulb. :-)
Bro. Becker called us while we were still in Argentina and told us that Some Dear folks had donated money and we were to go on-line to Lowe's or Home Depot and choose some new
light fixtures for our house.
WE WERE SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO EXCITED!!!
Dear Bro. Mark ordered and picked up our new light fixtures, then brought
them to our house and hung them all!!!
~Here's our Nice ceiling fan for our living room.~
~And our classy light in the entry way.~
~Another view of the entry way.~
~And then Phillip and I found this lovely chandelier (that reminds of  Argentina...and the Victorian style too) on SALE so we paid for it, and Bro. Becker had it hanging in our dinning room when we came home!! (Bro. Becker also hung a couple other lights, but I don't have pics of them.  And he bought and put on all our fixture covers!!)
THANKS TONS, Bro. BECKER!!!~
~At Christmas time I got some new Bath towels (inside these gift bags) for my sweet sister Laura,
NOT TO REPAY HER FOR ALLLLLLLLLLLLLL SHE HAS DONE FOR US...
But as a tiny THANK YOU!!~
~HEATHER~

Oh, it is such fun to see pictures of the inside of your Fairy Tale house that I love! Bless, Bro Becker for your new lights! Bless Steve M. for fixing your bathtub! Bless Dave K. for fixing the squirrel hole! Bless dear Laura, and ALL of the others who cleaned your home for you! Bless those who stocked your cupboard shelves and refrigerator! Such love that has been demonstrated by your Christian friends and family cannot be equaled! What dear and precious helpers these all have been to your little family! I pray that Jesus will bless each one with satisfaction for giving of their strength and time to His Cause. I'm thankful that you guys get to live across the street from Laura and her family, even if you mostly see each other from afar. Ha! How neat that Paul P, his son, and one of his daughters are going to Colombia with Phillip & Kimberly! May God make it a time of spiritual refreshing for all of them! Much love, Mom D
PS - Whew, what a time-line of history and activity you presented to us!

Wow, I was wondering if I would get to hear from Mom Dickinson on this wonderful post! And I did!!! Looking back over the 10 years of service to Missions, I am surprised how God has led your family. I think that all that read this post should leave comments on your blog! I remember some of those hard days and how we prayed for you to overcome those difficulties. I am glad that the Paul Pilmores get to go to Bolivia with Phillip and Kimberly. We will pray for them that God uses every effort on all of their parts.

I was so amused when I saw your Miss Suzy book! How we enjoyed reading that when you just a tiny tyke, we never expected you to know what it was like for a family of squirrels to move in on you.

I thank all the ladies from your church that did any part of making your house livable again after all those animals got in. And Laura, was still so ill when she took charge of that house cleaning. I am so glad that you gave her such a nice thank you. White towels are still a Moma and girls thing!

Oh, and Brother Mills did such a lovely job on your pretty bathtub. I thank him! Your bathroom is absolutely lovely. Kimberly did a lovely job on the sign in that room. I am glad that you had her!

I was so excited to see all those pretty lights that Brother Mark used to replace all those light bulbs. I remember steering his group for a missions conference when he was just a sophomore of junior in high school. I was so busy all over campus that he thought I would never get to help his committee, but I did and it won first place! I just wish he had the time since "he has grown up" to come over and replace the light bulbs in our fixer-upper house!:)

Well, I just wanted to comment on such a lovely post from a lovely little girl of mine. I love you,and thank the Lord for His help to you all the last ten years of mission work. I believe he is going to help you all every step of the way in the future. Moma
