~Phillip's birthday dinner, Sutherland family reunion, & Men Arise in Seymour, IN~

We celebrated my man turning another year older.

I'm so happy with my life...

I'm so happy to be his wife!

I made him a pretty table using our China.  He loves our china.  The colors are simple and retro and he loves it.

~Cousin Laura made Phillip some yummy oatmeal raisin cookies... his favorite!
Mary and I both got him a dark chocolate candy bar, and Abigail got him a fun coffee cup from Rural King.  Other gifts came later.
~And Skyline for his meal.~
~And UDF ice cream for his dessert.~

~Kimberly made him his favorite pie...apple~

~On his birthday we got to go to our Christian Nation Church, this is what Dear Bro. Eisenhart said.~
~On Thursday, I took donuts to Strait Creek Church to celebrate Chris and Kimberly's anniversary, Mrs. Field's birthday, and Phillip's birthday.~
~God is so amazing!  I love his sunrises and sunsets!! Beautiful!!~

~SUTHERLAND REUNION!~

~The day before we came Uncle Scott was telling how his birthday and his brother's birthdays are all in the same month, and how U. John always got to choose the flavor of the cake.  He always chose German Chocolate cake, which u. Scott could not stand!!
So, to trick him, Beth made him a GERMAN CHOCOLATE CAKE...
Then, had Sophia come around the corner with a yummy blueberry Cake! :-D

~It was so FUN to be together!!!~
~Dear Beth also brought over Carnitas as well!~

~We ate in Dad's shop.
Uncle John fed little Adelynn cake!
He became a friend for life.  :-)

~It was awesome that Chris, Kimberly, and Stella, and Josh, Sarah, and Adelynn, and Noah could all come too.~
~Dad made us all yummy pancakes!!~

~Uncle John bought an Elvis bus, used by someone who acted like Elvis.~

~Michael took us for a ride on Dad's newly fixed golf cart.~

~I made cappuccino punch!~

~Aunt Donna made yummy enchiladas for all of us!~

~Magnet fishing with Uncle Scott.~

~They made the inside of the bus neat.~

~Just like her mommy, 11 Year old Abigail LOVES to bake!!
The other day she made these yummy toll house cookies!~
~MEN ARISE SEYMOUR, IN~
So, it worked out that I was invited to join the kitchen team and cook for Men Arise!  We had a BLAST!
I have LOVED baking since I made my first homemade bread at age 11!
I also had my own bread business when I was a teenager in Louisiana.
My Freshman year,
I got the privilege of being the Baker at God's Bible School...
and made a cake that fed 500 people, and took 96 eggs.
I loved getting to hang out with Shanda and Sarah, Amy, Shari, Tracy and their girls, Michelle,
Nathan, Rodney, Lincoln, and Cathy.~

~Turning in to Spring Hill.
I brought my Elijah and my nephew Jeremiah to Men Arise.
~Amy Bryant and her Nathan were the head cooks.
All of us just did whatever they needed us to do.
Here is Amy on your left, my friend Sarah, and yours truly.
We got there on Tuesday, to help set up.~
~When Sarah and I went to go to bed in our cabin that night,
she suggested that we head back down to the Worship Center and Pray over all the stacked chairs...and ask Jesus to BLESS MEN ARISE AND EACH MAN THAT WOULD SIT IN THESE CHAIRS!
So, we did just that...and Jesus truly met with us.~

~The cabin where we girls stayed.~

~Sarah J. took Nathan, Amy, and I on a tour of SpringHill.  It is 800 acres, but of course we didn't see the whole thing, just the main loop.~

~The shooting range.~
~The climbing wall.~

~We met up with Jeremiah and Elijah walking around.~

~The amphitheater, where they had devotions each morning.  The acoustics there were amazing because of the lake there.

~A neat lodge at the end of the lane where we stayed.~
~A couple of the guns they were going to auction off on Friday.~

~Neat Live edge alters and pulpit that a couple guys made~

~Setting up the chairs.~
~The same guys made this neat 10 foot cross.
When we pulled down there by the cross...all 4 of us in the golf cart...didn't want to speak a word.
We just sat there and worshipped Jesus, Thanking Him for all He did for us on His Cruel Cross,
while tears dripped off of our cheeks!!

~Jeremiah stayed in one of these TeePees.~

~Amy wanted to decorate with old wooden boxes, and crates, and with old tools.  She did a great job and it was all so cool.~

~I didn't know she was going to do rustic, but brought 4 or 5 things to decorate the coffee bar.
That is my tray in which the tea bags were.
And my little sign to the left that says, "Rise and Grind."

~And that is my sign that says, "Fire Pits and cozy knits, Cool Hikes and pumpkin spice."~

~Amy said that she wanted to have someone print up a sign for the bulletin board above the coffee bar, that said, "Men Arise!"
I suggested that we put up a Men Arise Hoodie there!
Sarah and I, just about the same time, pointed out the burnt orange hoodie!
It turned out so adorably!!~

~They had their own "Men Arise" coffee bags printed up with Melton's Coffee.~

~Shanda and I made fruit slush in this Huge Bin.
We had already dipped nearly half of the bin out into bowls by the time we took this pic.
~I had a blast rolling out and cutting out around 720 donuts, and my friend
Shanda cut out the holes of the donuts.~
~My friend Shari took this fun pic of Shanda and I rolling out and cutting donuts.~

THIS IS THE DAY 9-10-2025 THAT CHARLIE KIRK WAS SHOT AND KILLED!!!!
I do not know a ton about him, but I do know that he was trying his best to serve Jesus Christ, and touched untold thousands of lives with his Scripture quoting and pointing them to Christ.
I have wept and wept and prayed and prayed
for his sweet wife Erika
and their 2 little children!

~We cracked around 1,195 eggs for breakfast the next morning.~

~My nephew Jeremiah, Elijah, and Me.~
~Jeremiah D., Elijah, and Jeremiah K.~
~Nathan smoked all of our meat, and Rodney L. helped him.~
~All of Amy's team got to choose one thing from the Merch shop.
I chose this burnt orange vest.~
~Most of the cooks, except Nathan and Rodney.~
~Apple cider floats.~
~Lincoln Rose was a Huge blessing in the kitchen, and kept us laughing.  Here he is mixing the mixed fruit that we had all had chopped up, while Shanda and her Joshua visit with him.
~L to R: Colton, Elijah, Wade, and Cameron.~
~I took Dear Shanda down to the Log Lodge to see it and the lake behind it.~
~Amy told us that we could take a break in the afternoon for around 2 hours or so.
So, when Shanda went back to the cabin to take a rest, I sat in a lawn chair by this lake,
and listened to my Bible, Slept, read my book, and looked at my new Fall magazine.
It was such a fun time to spend my little break.  And then we ran back to help with Supper. ~

The men grilled carrots, yummy!~
~And Brisket!! Delish!~
~Such a good convicting quote by Don Raines on PRAYER.~
~THE AUCTION~
For the most part, we ladies, stayed in the kitchen, and didn't come out, unless we needed to refill something.
We wanted the men to be able to feel like they could just be themselves and visit among each other without ladies around.
But, they told us that we could come out for the auction.
So, we got to sit up in the sound booth!!
Love these girls to pieces!!!
~Dear Sarah, Shanda, Myself, and Leeza and cute baby boy.~

~The Lord helped and they raised $100,000 for Men Arise!!!
We ladies had been praying for weeks that Jesus would send in the money to pay for this Men Arise.
As we sang, "Praise God from Whom all Blessings flow,"
We were weeping over that
HUGE ANSWER TO PRAYER,
and over a testimony that someone gave of how
Jesus used Men Arise to change his life!

Rejoicing in Jesus!~

~Lincoln fell sound asleep during the auction.~

~A pic of The Worship center...I took, as we went flying by it.
Of course, we ladies were never in any sessions or services, but the team leaders reported to us that God's PRESENCE was all over the place.
Testimonies,
shouting,
running to pray at the alter,
awesome anointing as the preachers preached,
LIVES CHANGED!!!
PRAISE JESUS!!!!!~
~We ladies got to ride the last trolley that went around for Men Arise 2025.~
~Some fun pics I "stole" from the Men Arise page.~

~My Noah got to come to Men Arise late Thursday night.
They captured this fun pic of Noah climbing the climbing wall.~
~Elijah is in the middle of this pic, with a red and black hat.~

~On the way home, Noah bought me a fun fall coffee.~
~When I got home and went to get my raw milk, I passed a local farm selling fresh pumpkins, for cheap.
These were 2 pumpkins for $1.00!!~

~We were quite touched at Church on Sunday morning, and wept and prayed and praised Jesus that
"THOUGH THE WRONG SEEMS OFT SO STRONG,
GOD IS THE RULER YET!!!"
~Even our young people were affected and one wept and asked if they could fast and PRAY for revival.
May Jesus keep each one of us CLOSE TO HIM!!
~Thank the Lord, I had some yummy leftovers from Men Arise, for Sunday dinner.
So, I served the grilled carrots...
~And the yummy meat, and made tostados on the side.~
~My friend Sarah wanted to see my hair down,
so I had Phillip take this pic of me.~
~This AM, I whipped up some fresh biscuits, to serve with the leftover gravy
I brought home from Men Arise.~
~Little Stella got to fly for the first time...and went as a "chaperon" on her Daddy and Mommy's anniversary trip. :-) ~
THANKS FOR STOPPING BY!!
~HEATHER~
