~Pastoral Appreciation in VA, Camping in the Fall, GBS Homecoming, etc.~

Wow! Can you believe that October is almost over?  Before we know it it will be Christmas and then the NEW YEAR!  May Jesus find us busy about His business and making each day to count.
We have had a lot of happy days, Going to VA to help do a Pastoral Appreciation for our dear friends David and Jamie Spivey and their sweet family, schoolwork, being together, enjoying camping in the Fall, etc.~

 ~KIMBERLY HAS BEEN MAKING AND SELLING HER MACARONS THIS MONTH TO HELP HER RAISE $$ FOR HER HONDURAS MEDICAL TRIP!  

SHE WILL BE SELLING THEM THIS WEDNESDAY AS WELL!!

 ~Going to VA to help do a Pastoral Appreciation for our dear friends David and Jamie Spivey and their sweet family.
It was so FUN TO SURPRISE THE SPIVEYS.  I think they had an idea that it might be our family that was coming, but weren't quite sure.  :-) ~

 ~Mr. Cliff and Mrs. Cindy, and their girls and Ms. Rita took our family out for supper when we arrived in VA that Saturday night.~

 ~Pastor David often says, "Oh, I dropped the ball."
So, as his people walked around to hug him and his family they all gave Pastor David a ball.  :-D~

 ~The Lord helped Phillip to preach that morning.~

MARY'S SURPRISE BIRTHDAY LUNCH WITH FRIENDS!!

I took Mary to Chick-fil-A ...and some of her friends were there hiding and YELLED SURPRISE!!! She was soooo shocked and HAPPY!~

 ~Lest you think that our home is always just yummy cups of coffee, and pretty tables....It isn't.  :-)  There are messes too.
One of our sweet smaller children was trying to help me by carrying bowls of left-over cereal and milk over to the sink...when they tripped and the bowls went flying and the corelle bowl smashed to bits. ~

 ~On Sunday we invited Daryl, Laura, and family, and my parents over for Sunday dinner.~

 ~My Sweet friend Lila gave me the gold silverware, the goblets with gold and the neat 3 tiered serving dish.  The paper plates are actually "baby shower" plates from Walmart.  Under the gold polka dotted plate it says, "OH, BABY!" :-) ~

 ~This day Mary's dessert was Kimberly's chocolate Macarons and
chocolate cupcakes with Mocha icing that I made.~ 

  ~I used one of the new Russian tips to do the icing.~

  ~There were 16 of us.

I made Skyline Chili and Pineapple Pretzel Salad.~

 ~Our other "daughter" Bethany showed up to visit and we were sooo HAPPY to have her join us!!~

~CAMPING FALL 2018!!~

 ~WE THANK THE LORD FOR HIS PROTECTION WHILE WE WERE CAMPING!!!  

Recently in parks in Ohio some bugs have attacked the trees and trees just FALL without ANY WARNING!!!  In our campsite just the week before one tree had fallen and landed on the pull-out of a trailer.  :-(
And in another park in Ohio a tree fell and landed on a pull-out of a trailer and KILLED THE YOUNGEST AND OLDEST KIDS OF THAT FAMILY! :-(
So, we PRAISE THE LORD that no trees fell on us while we were camping. (Especially since we didn't learn about the tree epidemic until AFTER we had camped!!)~

 ~Phillip and I had to Take Abigail to the dentist in Chillicothe, OH.  So we ate breakfast together at Bob Evans.~
