Mt. Zion Camp, Our Holiness Rally, & Celebrating 150 years of Faith at Strait Creek Church~

Saturday, August 22nd, found the 5 of us heading to Mt. Zion Camp in Ava, MO!  How we wished Noah could come with us, but how we praise Jesus that he could preach at Strait Creek Church while we were gone!  

We arrived about an hour and half late for the twin girls birthday party. It was so FUN to be with the Arnold, Jones, Kline, families again! <3

I was just 27 and I think Ashlea was just 13 or so, and Julianna was around 15 or so, when God called Phillip and I and 18 month old Kimberly to Gospel Center in Phoenix, AZ.  

Of Course, this was the church where Mom Dickinson had been called on and gotten saved out of a drunker's home, when she was just a little girl.   And this was also the church where Phillip had grown up in as well.  

Ashlea's grandparents, the Kenneth Bryants had pastored Gospel Center before us.  And the Arnolds were at Montezuma Indian School, just an hour and a half away.  MANY WERE THE TIMES we would get together...and we ALWAYS HAD A BLAST!!!  

Becky was also the Doula for me for Sarah and Noah's births. They are like FAMILY to us!!! 

So, we knew that Mt. Zion Camp was going to be a BLAST!!!!  

We were tired going in to camp, so we were 

LEANING HARD ON JESUS!!!  

AND, HE WAS THERE TO HELP US!!! 

The camp was Sunday, August 23rd - Sunday, August 30th.

So, On Tuesday, the young people were at a flea market and Elijah found a Spiderman suitcase.  So they bought it and bought candy and put it in the suitcase, and gave it to Bro. Plank.  :-) ~

So, Saturday night, and All Day Sunday, 

I felt a little more Vunerable...and nervous without him!  

I had people praying for us, and Jesus was close and helped as we sang the rest of the camp without him! 

~I was so happy that our Son-in-law Chris got to go to Men Arise for the first time.~

CAME EVERY SUNDAY MORNING, FOR 15 YEARS AND HAD A SERVICE BY HIMSELF!!!!!!  

HE COULD NOT BEAR TO SEE THE CHURCH CLOSE!!!

NEXT DAY, SEPT. 3rd...Phillip's birthday!~
