PLEASE PRAY FOR MY SWEETHEART AS HE HEADS TO COLOMBIA TOMORROW AM!!
These trips are pure Ministry trips. Phillip is a Pastor to our Pastors in Colombia. So, these trips are filled with a lot of
Preaching,
Teaching,
Traveling,
Listening,
Praying,
and Loving
on our Dear Colombians.
Please pray for His Protection and that God will anoint him as he preaches and ministers to our people there.
Traveling by buses can be VERY DANGEROUS!
In fact, each bus company has to have a sign above their name, telling how many
FATALITIES THEY HAVE HAD THAT YEAR!!!!! :-(
Phillip's foot has been hurting him for over a year, and it makes him limp some. Prayers that Jesus will help it,
as he WALKS A LOT in Colombia.
We purchased small gifts for our dear Colombians, (Reese's, Skyline Chili packets, and some dishtowels and potholders,)
for Phillip to take in his suitcase.
Phillip is excited to see our Pastors and their wives and families, and their church people! They look forward to him coming and treat him so special while he is there.
Noah and Chris, as well as a couple other ministers, will be preaching at Strait Creek CNC for Phillip while he is gone.
Often, when Phillip is "on the Front lines" in Colombia,
the devil fights our family with financial situations, misunderstandings, heavy trials, etc.!
THANK YOU FOR YOUR PRAYERS FOR HIM IN COLOMBIA AND FOR US AND STRAIT CREEK CHRISTIAN NATION CHURCH HERE!!
~PASTOR APPRECIATION!~
This past Thursday night, our dear Church people surprised us with a special Pastor and Wife Appreciation!!
(we had a little hint that something was going to happen, but no idea of what they were going to do.)
Last Sunday, I had told Mrs. Fields that I was going to make a big pot of chili to share after church on Thursday night. I did not know that they were planning to celebrate US that night. ;-)
Mrs. Fields had been planning to make food, but then went to Cousin Laura and told her that I had told her that I was making chili for Thursday night. Laura told her just to roll with it. :-D So, little did I know that I was making food for my own celebration. HA!
After our services, Cousin Laura came up and called Phillip and I up front.
She then presented 2 cards to us.
One from the Church, and one from Mr. and Mrs. Fields.
She had such sweet words to say, and she made me cry.
Phillip read the sweet card from the church and I read the sweet words from the Field's card...and I cried again.
Both cards contained such KIND Words as well as
love offerings for us.
So SWEET!
Then Mrs. Fields gave me a sweet gift basket as well. She said it was for both of us, but I would enjoy it more than Phillip would.
:-) So thoughtful!
~The gift basket was filled with a yummy smelling Bath and Body Works Fall candle, Beautiful fresh flowers, A cute Leaf Candy dish, a cute Pumpkin Coffee sign, a nice sign that says, "Prayer is the key, but Faith unlocks the door."
And a $25.00 gift card to get coffee,
when Phillip gets back from Colombia.
Then when we went to eat the snack, Mrs. Fields had made Peanut Butter Sandwiches to go with my chili, and a delicious pumpkin pie!
And Cousin Laura had picked up a pretty cake, that Noah had purchased, and Laura wrote on it for Phillip and I. So nice! Laura also brought cheese for the chili!
Needles to say, we felt very LOVED that night!
Our people are the Best and we Love them! We feel very privileged to get to be their Pastor and Wife! They are very Loving, Very Supportive, and are Prayer Warriors! They Love Jesus to Pieces and us too!
I'm so glad to part of the Family of God...on Strait Creek!
On Friday Morning, I so enjoyed using my gifts from the Fields.
~Homecoming~
On Friday AM, Oct. 10th,
I texted my Moma that The girls and I were going to GBS Homecoming.
She wrote me back and told me to be safe and have a nice time.
So, you can Imagine my SURPRISE...when I got to GBS and Daddy and Moma were there!
They decided to SURPRISE me and meet me there!
Since our guys were at Men Arise, I had wondered who I would sit with at GBS. God saw that I needed someone to sit with, and he sent two very DEAR people, my Sweet Daddy and Moma, with which I could sit. <3
Here are some pics from Homecoming.
(This is a GBS photo that they snapped before the girls and I arrived.)
~I got to sing with the Alumni Choir.~
~One Reason Moma wanted to come to Homecoming, is because it was Daddy's 64th Homecoming, and Moma's 65th Homecoming, from when they graduated from High School!!
~Maren and Mary~
~Cousin Isaiah surprised us and he and Kammy came to Homecoming.
We were so happy to see him and meet Kammy.~
~Dear Cousin Laura, gave me a nice coffee gift card,
from 1810 coffee shop, for Pastor's wife appreciation. So Sweet!
(And then she helped plan the other Pastor and wife appreciation too!)
Thank you bunches, Laura!!!

~My yummy coffee from Laura...and there was still $ left on the card.

~Friday night, Katie Paulus, told me that she had something for me. I was shocked, and wondered what she could have for me. She told me it was something that she found at a thrift store.
Later on, that night, she saw me and gave me
THIS ADORABLE SWEATSHIRT THAT SAYS,
"DICKINSON" on it!!!!
I squealed!
I love it!

~I snapped this pic of these beautiful mailboxes.
I checked my mail for 3 years right here.
If I remember correctly, my mailbox was #123.

~DICKINSON HOMESCHOOL 2025-2026~
This is crazy, but every day, I think I am going to take pics of our children, for this school year, and that day Elijah would be at Men Arise, or at work or something.
So, I snapped these of the girls on lesson day, while Elijah was working, and I will post any pics of Elijah I can find from
Men Arise.
Last Tuesday, we were back at GBS for music lessons, so I finished off my sweet gift card from Cousin Laura.
~Then we took a picnic to Eden Park.
We used to live about 3 miles from Eden Park and went there often with our children.
We haven't been there for a long time.
I thought that Abigail was going to cry as she recognized places at Eden Park from her younger childhood.
It was so fun to be back at Eden Park and overlook the Ohio River.
~Mary borrowed Noah's neat antique lunch box for our lunches.~

Elijah is a Junior this year.~
~Elijah, being silly.
He makes us laugh all the time.
