During Comargo camp last week I let myself "cheat" a little in what I ate (a treat here, a treat there) because I knew that baby was due to be born this week, and I've EATEN VERY C.A.R.E.F.U.L.L.Y. for these 9 months so deserved some yummy goodies near the end. =D
All in all I only gained around 6 to 7 lbs. with this pregnancy. =)
Wednesday, Aug. 20th, dawned with lots of rain.
I had been pretty sick to my stomach most of the night, so didn't get much sleep at all. I felt exhausted and knew that it would have to be GOD if I could make it through my BUSY day of delivering a baby!
~Here we are leaving for the hospital.~
Because YOU PRAYED...
~This was my easiest delivery ever!!
~They induced me at 11:45.
~Broke my water at 3:24
~I got my epidural at 4:30
~And she was born at 5:35!!!
Eeek! I was so excited to see this! So very happy for you! Abigail is just beautiful and I am so thankful that all went well! Now, get some rest momma!

ReplyDeleteOh Heather, I checked your blog a hundred times yesterday hoping you had Laura posting for you!!! I tried to call several numbers and couldn't get anyone. I just had to find out about you and baby so called your dear dad toady. So thankful you and baby are doing great!!! She is adorable of course. Much love and continued prayers

ReplyDeleteI am so relieved that this was your easiest delivery. Even then, I see that your sleepless night and the strain of delivery took some toll on you physically. How blessed you are to have this one day to kind of recuperate before you go home to all of your responsibilities. It was such fun to hear Abigail Elizabeth's name. I had been wanting so badly to hear the pretty name you would choose for your sixth baby. I am not disappointed in your choice; her name is so completely unique to her little self. Smile. I give praise to Jesus that this birth has gone well. I trust that Jesus will give strength to each of you as you work with this new little responsibility and as you adjust to another member in your family. Abigail's little fat cheeks are so sweet. She is adorable!!! Congratulations! I kept checking the blog waiting for news of her arrival! I love her name as well! Abigail is mine and we were going to name our Elyssa, Elizabeth up until 2 weeks before they were born and both of us felt like Elizabeth just didn't fit for her! :) I have loved the name Elizabeth since I was in my early teens and still hope we have the chance to use it one day! :) CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!
