~God sent baby and I 3 "angels" this week~

~Thank you for your kind comments and prayers for Baby and I. God has been helping us and I've been obeying my orders to be on bedrest. (Shhh! Don't tell anyone that I'm posting this post really quickly. =) Phillip has been teaching and preaching at our other churches this week. So, though his heart was here, he could not be. So God has sent me 3 angels that have helped me tremondously this week. Kimberly has been my nurse, and house keeper, and Jimmy and Farly have kept our children, and made us a couple meals too. I have felt badly for Kimberly. For a 12 year old, she has done TONS of work this week. She has cooked the meals, washed the dishes, washed the clothes, hung them to dry, brought down the dry clothes, folded those, put those away, cleaned the house, and much more. Here I am sitting on the couch peeling potatoes to try to help lift Kimberly's load a little.~~A yummy Breakfast that Kimberly prepared me.~
~Kimberly hanging some clothes on the ceiling in our kitchen to dry since it was raining outside.~
~Kimberly has been teaching Noah for me too. It's sort of hard to lay down and teach out of a huge notebook. =) Kimberly, Thank you for all you have done for Mommy and your baby brother or sister! May God richly bless you for your tiredless efforts. I love you TONS!~
~Our yummy lunch that Kimberly made (with my guidance) for us today. A salad, creamed potatoes, porcipine meatballs, a squash casserole that she made into a "sweet potato casserole", and a fried platano that Sis. Farly fried yesterday.
~Jimmy and Farly have been life-savers as well! They came on Tuesday, the day that I had the scare. Sis. Farly made me a delicious lunch, and then they offered to take Elijah and keep him for a couple nights. As hard as it was for me to say goodbye to Elijah, I knew that I was feeling way too weak to have him crawling all over me, etc. They took Sarah along too, to help care for Elijah. Last night they kept Noah as well.
Muchimas Gracias, pastor Jimmy y hermana Farly. Ustedes son angeles del cielo para mi! Que Dios les paga ricamente por todo que ustedes hicerion para nuestra familia. Nunca vamos a olvidar las cosas preciosas que ustedes han hecho. Les queremos mucho!!!

Lord willing, we are going to find a good OBGYN doctor in North Bogota to care for baby and I until we fly back to the USA to deliver there. Please pray that God will guide us to the right doctor. Thank you!!

Bless your heart, Heather! I know all about that bedrest thing which happened with Silas, and it is hard for an active Mom to be down. I have a feeling I am headed in the same direction again.
I was blessed to read of Kimberly's help. She certainly is learning some valuable training. :-) I will be remembering all of you in my prayers.

You have been up again! I am sure that it was OK for there are lots of us out here needing to hear.
What a sweetheart of a little girl that we have. I guess you did start her out early, I can still see Kimberly standing on a stool and cutting strawberries for your salad when she was just two! She had them all lined up across the table in an artistic way that must have come from her Daddy's genes. How thankful we are for Jimmy and Farley, what friends they are! You will have to let us hear about your other helpers when they get home. Love, Moma

Heather,

I am so sorry you have to be on bedrest. I hope it soon ends because I know how frustrating it is to not be able to do for your family.

Tell Kimberly I am proud of her! She deserves 5 gold stars! I am so thankful you have her to help you and that she is willing to.

Love and Prayers,
Kim

First of all:
The little boy, nicknamed Piggy, sitting in the chair reading a book has the very cutest legs!
Second:
You look like the cutest little waif of a mother, sitting on your couch peeling potatoes.
Third:
The minute I read about Kimberly's 'tiredless' efforts, I had to laugh at your 'new' word.
Fourth:
When I saw how tall Kimberly looks in the picture of her hanging up clothes in the kitchen, I knew that one of these (far-off, hopefully!) days, some young man is going to want to snatch her away from her mother, and away from her duties at home.
Fifth:
The expression on Kimberly's face and Noah's face, as they were doing studies together, reminded me so much of Phillip when he was Noah's age.
Sixth:
Dear Kimberly is learning the 'joy' of being the oldest of five children, as I was. Then, when she gets married, she will instinctively try to carry on in the manner of her normal life-style, and when she begins to 'mother' her husband, he will not take kindly to it at all. Ha!
Or, at least that's the way it has been with Bud and I.
Now, this post of yours has been an example of REAL living; or in other words, Cinderella, hard at work in the kitchen! Bless dear sweet Cinderella's heart! Tell 'Cinder' that Grandma feels like stealing her so she could be Grandma's right arm, instead of her mother's right arm. Smile.
What is true though, is that 'Cinder' is right where Jesus wants her - being a helper, and being a sunbeam for Jesus.
What an adorable and wonderful family I am privileged to be a part of!
Love, Mom D

Kimberly you are a true testomony to other young girls, you are showing God's love in your life like no other...may the Lord bless you and touch you with extra strenght to carry the load you have so graciously taken on!!!!

Ginger
